Abstract
An interchangeable earring assembly facilitating interchangeable ornaments on earrings includes a pair of suspensions. Each of the suspensions is removably attached to an associated one of a pair of ears. A plurality of adornments is provided and a selected pair of the adornments is suspended on an associated one of the suspensions. In this way each of the adornments selectively enhances an ornamental appearance of the ears.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An interchangeable earring assembly being configured to be worn on ears for ornamental purposes, said assembly comprising:
a pair of suspensions, each of said suspensions being configured to be removably attached to an associated one of a pair of ears, each of said suspensions comprising
a first rod having a first end and a second end, said first rod having a plurality of bends thereon, said bends being spaced apart from each other and being distributed between said first end and said second end such that said first end is spaced from said second end, said first rod having a pair of straight sections, a junction between said straight sections defining a seat between said first end and said second end,
a pair of discs, each of said discs having a peripheral edge, said peripheral edge corresponding to each of said discs being attached to said second end of said first rod such that each of said discs extends upwardly from said first rod, said discs being spaced apart from each other, and
a second rod having a first end and a second end, said first end being positioned between each of said discs; and
a plurality of adornments, a selected pair of said adornments being suspended on an associated one of said suspensions wherein each of said adornments is configured to enhance an ornamental appearance of the ears, each of said adornments having a ring, said first rod of each said suspension being positionable extending through said ring of an associated one of said adornments wherein said ring rests in said seat vertically aligned with a center of said second rod when said second rod is positioned extending between said first end and said second end of said first rod.

4 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising a pair of fingers, each of said fingers being attached to said first end of said first rod, said fingers being spaced apart from each other.
5 . (canceled)
6 . The assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising a pin extending through each of said discs and engaging said second rod such that said second rod is pivotally coupled to said first rod.
7 . The assembly according to claim 6 , wherein said second rod is selectively positioned in a first position having said first end of said second rod being spaced from said first end of said first rod wherein said second rod is configured to be extended through a piercing in an ear lobe.
8 . The assembly according to claim 7 , wherein said second rod is selectively positioned in a second position having said second rod being positioned between each of said fingers on said first rod wherein said second rod is configured to suspend said first rod from the earlobe, each of said fingers frictionally engaging said second rod to releasably retain said second rod in said second position.
9 . The assembly according to claim 5 , wherein each of said adornments comprises an ornament having an outer surface.
10 . The assembly according to claim 9 , further comprising a stem extending through said ornament, said stem having a distal end with respect to said outer surface.
11 . The assembly according to claim 10 , further comprising said ring being coupled to said distal end of said stem, said second rod being extended through said ring and having said ring being positioned around said first rod such that said ornament is suspended from said first rod.
12 . An interchangeable earring assembly being configured to be worn on ears for ornamental purposes, said assembly comprising:
a pair of suspensions, each of said suspensions being configured to be removably attached to an associated one of a pair of ears, each of said suspensions comprising:
a first rod having a first end and a second end, said first rod having a plurality of bends thereon, said bends being spaced apart from each other and being distributed between said first end and said second end such that said first end is spaced from said second end, said first rod having a pair of straight sections, a junction between said straight sections defining a seat between said first end and said second end,
a pair of discs, each of said discs having a peripheral edge, said peripheral edge corresponding to each of said discs being attached to said second end of said first rod such that each of said discs extends upwardly from said first rod, said discs being spaced apart from each other,
a pair of fingers, each of said fingers being attached to said first end of said first rod, said fingers being spaced apart from each other,
a second rod having a first end and a second end, said first end being positioned between each of said discs,
a pin extending through each of said discs and engaging said second rod such that said second rod is pivotally coupled to said first rod, said second rod being selectively positioned in a first position having said first end of said second rod being spaced from said first end of said first rod wherein said second rod is configured to be extended through a piercing in an ear lobe, said second rod being selectively positioned in a second position having said second rod being positioned between each of said fingers on said first rod wherein said second rod is configured to suspend the said first rod from the earlobe, each of said fingers frictionally engaging said second rod to releasably retain said second rod in said second position; and
a plurality of adornments, a selected pair of said adornments being suspended on an associated one of said suspensions wherein each of said adornments is configured to enhance an ornamental appearance of the ears, each of said adornments comprising:
an ornament having an outer surface,
a stem extending through said ornament, said stem having a distal end with respect to said outer surface, and
a ring being coupled to said distal end of said stem, said first rod of each said suspension being positionable extending through said ring of an associated one of said adornments wherein said ring rests in said seat vertically aligned with a center of said second rod when said second rod is positioned extending between said first end and said second end of said first rod.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
