Abstract

Systems, apparatuses, and methods for related table notifications are disclosed. Notifications are configured for at least two live feeds. Each of the live feeds is associated with a table of a plurality of tables. When data is changed within the table, the notifications are published to the live feeds as long as conditions established for the notifications are met.

         21 . A system, comprising:
 a memory; and   one or more processors configured to execute instructions stored in the memory, wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:   identify a change to first data related to a first reference field of a plurality of reference fields; and   in response to identifying the change to the first data:
 generate a notification corresponding to the change to the first data based at least in part on:
 a message comprising a variable name identifying the first reference field; 
 second data related to the first reference field; and 
 one or more conditions specified by a set of selectable options, wherein each of the set of selectable options define a respective pre-defined selection criterion related to the change to the first data; 
 
 determine that the change to the first data satisfies the one or more conditions; and 
 publish the notification, wherein the notification is published over a communications interface to a first live feed associated with a first table of a plurality of tables, the first table having the first reference field, and to a second live feed associated with a second table of the plurality of tables, the second table having a second reference field related to the first reference field. 
   
     
     
         22 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the notification, when published to the second live feed, differs from the notification published to the first live feed based in part on the message and the one or more conditions. 
     
     
         23 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
 present an input screen via a user interface connection, wherein the input screen comprises a first entry field corresponding to the first reference field; and   receive, via the input screen, an input to change the first data at the first entry field.   
     
     
         24 . The system of  claim 23 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to identify the change to the first data based at least in part on the input to change the first data at the first entry field. 
     
     
         25 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
 present an input screen via a user interface connection, wherein the input screen comprises:
 an entry field corresponding to the message; and 
 one or more additional entry fields used to specify the one or more conditions, wherein each of the one or more additional entry fields is populated with a respective subset of the set of selectable options; 
   receive, via the input screen, an input specifying the message at the entry field;   receive, via the input screen, one or more selections specifying the one or more conditions at the one or more additional entry fields; and   store the message and the one or more conditions in the memory.   
     
     
         26 . The system of  claim 25 , wherein generating the notification based at least in part on the message and the one or more conditions comprises accessing the message and the one or more conditions stored in the memory. 
     
     
         27 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the plurality of reference fields comprises a first set of reference fields within the first table and a second set of reference fields within the second table, wherein at least one of the second set of reference fields is related to a reference field of the first set of reference fields. 
     
     
         28 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
 generate the notification based at least in part on a code or script provided separate from the one or more conditions and that provides one or more additional conditions, wherein the one or more additional conditions specified by the code or script take precedence in modifying the message over the one or more conditions specified by the set of selectable options when in conflict.   
     
     
         29 . The system of  claim 28 , wherein the code or script provided separate from the one or more conditions provides the one or more additional conditions as different from what can be specified by the set of selectable options used to specify the one or more conditions. 
     
     
         30 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the respective pre-defined selection criterion comprises: a table of the plurality of tables, a variable, an operator, a value, or a combination thereof. 
     
     
         31 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
 asynchronously publish the notification over the communications interface to the second live feed associated with the second table.   
     
     
         32 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
 synchronously publish the notification over the communications interface to the second live feed associated with the second table.   
     
     
         33 . The system of  claim 21 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
 modify third data related to the second reference field in response to the change to the first data.   
     
     
         34 . A tangible, non-transitory, machine-readable medium, comprising machine-readable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
 present an input screen comprising one or more fields used to specify one or more conditions used to generate a notification in response to a data change within one or more tables, wherein each of the one or more fields is populated with a respective set of pre-defined options corresponding to the respective field;   receive, via interaction with the input screen, one or more selections specifying the one or more conditions at the one or more fields;   produce a configured notification for publication to a first live feed and a second live feed based at least in part on a notification message and on the one or more conditions, wherein the configured notification, when published to the second live feed, differs from the configured notification when published to the first live feed based at least in part on the notification message and the one or more conditions; and   store the configured notification in memory.   
     
     
         35 . The tangible, non-transitory, machine-readable medium of  claim 34 , wherein the input screen comprises:
 an entry field for a code or script associated with the configured notification, wherein the code or script is provided separate from the one or more conditions and provides one or more additional conditions, wherein the one or more additional conditions specified by the code or script take precedence in modifying the notification message over the one or more conditions when in conflict.   
     
     
         36 . The tangible, non-transitory, machine-readable medium of  claim 34 , wherein the input screen comprises:
 a message field configured to receive and store the notification message used in producing the configured notification.   
     
     
         37 . The tangible, non-transitory, machine-readable medium of  claim 34 , wherein the one or more fields comprise a first subfield used to enter a variable, a second subfield used to enter an operator, a third subfield used to enter a value of the variable, or a combination thereof. 
     
     
         38 . A method, comprising:
 presenting an input screen on a display device, wherein the input screen comprises one or more fields used to specify one or more conditions used to generate a notification in response to a data change within one or more tables, wherein each of the one or more fields is populated by a respective set of pre-defined options corresponding to the respective field;   receiving, via interaction with the input screen, one or more selections specifying the one or more conditions at the one or more fields;   producing, using one or more processors, a configured notification for publication to a first live feed and a second live feed based at least in part on a notification message and on the one or more conditions, wherein the configured notification, when published to the second live feed, differs from the configured notification when published to the first live feed based at least in part on the notification message and the one or more conditions; and   storing the configured notification in memory.   
     
     
         39 . The method of  claim 38 , wherein a relational database comprises the one or more tables. 
     
     
         40 . The method of  claim 38 , comprising, in response to the data change and upon confirming that the data change satisfies the one or more conditions:
 accessing, using the one or more processors, the configured notification stored in the memory; and   publishing, using the one or more processors, the configured notification to the first live feed and the second live feed.
