American football darts

Abstract

An American football style dart board and game. The dart board includes an annular frame and a dart surface disposed within the frame. The dart surface includes a plurality of dividers. An inner concentric divider defines a center target. A plurality of radial dividers define target segments. A plurality of outer concentric dividers define target sub-segments within each of the target segments. Indicia is disposed within each of the target sub-segments and the center target. The indicia include a type of American football play that is one of a negative play and a positive play.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method of playing darts comprising:
 providing a dart board comprising:
 an annular frame; 
 a dart surface disposed within the frame and comprising:
 an inner concentric divider defining a center target; 
 a plurality of radial dividers forming target segments; 
 a plurality of outer concentric dividers defining target sub-segments within each of the target segments; and 
 indicia disposed within each of the target sub-segments and the center target, wherein the indicia comprise a type of American football play comprising one of a negative play and a positive play; and 
 
   throwing darts at the dart board by a plurality of players, wherein hitting one or more positive plays leads to a win and hitting one or more negative plays leads to a loss.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the dart surface comprises a fibrous board. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the dividers are white and the dart surface is green. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of indicia comprise verbiage of more than one of interception, completed pass, 1 st  down, fumble, 2-point conversion, interception and TD for defense, field goal, punt, 4 th  down, short gain, penalty, Quarterback run, sack, and 1 st  and goal. 
     
     
         5 . A dart board comprising:
 an annular frame;   a dart surface disposed within the frame and comprising:
 an inner concentric divider defining a center target; 
 a plurality of radial dividers forming target segments; 
 a plurality of outer concentric dividers defining target sub-segments within each of the target segments; and 
 indicia disposed within each of the target sub-segments and the center target, wherein the indicia comprise a type of American football play comprising one of a negative play and a positive play. 
   
     
     
         6 . The dart board of  claim 5 , wherein the dart surface comprises a fibrous board. 
     
     
         7 . The dart board of  claim 5 , wherein the dividers are white and the dart surface is green. 
     
     
         8 . The dart board of  claim 5 , wherein the plurality of indicia comprise verbiage of more than one of interception, completed pass, 1 st  down, fumble, 2-point conversion, interception and TD for defense, field goal, punt, 4 th  down, short gain, penalty, Quarterback run, sack, and 1 st  and goal.
