Removable Magazine Spring Retainer

Abstract

A firearm ammunition clip or magazine which includes a Removable Magazine Spring Retainer for the ease of loading and unloading cartridges into a magazine and allows the magazine to be loaded from the bottom vise the top. The Removable Magazine Spring Retainer contains a follower, bottom and spring for easy insertion into the magazine container to complete the magazine. The Removable Magazine Spring Retainer allows for the cartridges to be loaded from the bottom of the magazine and or while the magazine is inserted into the firearm. This allows the magazine to be compliant with state magazine laws for states that don't allow removable magazines.

         7 . A firearm magazine comprising:
 a follower configured to contact a cartridge;   a bottom including a protrusion;   a spring having first and second ends, the first end contacting the follower and the second end contacting the bottom; and   a magazine base plate attachable to the firearm magazine, wherein the bottom is in compressive contact with the magazine base plate when the magazine base plate is attached to the firearm magazine, and wherein the magazine base plate has a middle section removed to allow the protrusion to protrude out of the magazine when the magazine base plate is attached to the firearm magazine.   
     
     
         8 . The firearm magazine of  claim 7 , wherein the magazine base plate includes grooves for engaging grooves provided on the magazine whereby the magazine base plate may be slid on and off the magazine. 
     
     
         9 . The firearm magazine of  claim 7 , wherein the spring is a compression spring.
