Abstract

The present invention is directed to golf balls having a diameter of greater than 1.68 inches and including at least one layer formed from an HNP composition.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A golf ball having a diameter of greater than 1.80 inches, an MOI of 100 g·cm 2 or greater, and comprising:
 a thermoset rubber center having a diameter of 1.15 inches or greater;
 an outer core layer having a thickness of 0.10 inches or greater and formed from a highly neutralized polymer composition; and
 a cover.

         2 . The golf ball of claim 1 , wherein the diameter of the golf ball is 1.85 inches or greater.

         3 . The golf ball of claim 1 , wherein the MOI of the golf ball is 105 g·cm 2 or greater.

         4 . The golf ball of claim 1 , wherein the MOI of the golf ball is 110 g·cm 2 or greater.

         5 . The golf ball of claim 1 , wherein the diameter of the center is 1.20 inches or greater.

         6 . The golf ball of claim 1 , wherein the cover is a single layer cover.

         7 . The golf ball of claim 6 , wherein the cover is formed from an ionomer composition.

         8 . The golf ball of claim 1 , wherein the cover comprises an inner cover layer and an outer cover layer.

         9 . The golf ball of claim 8 , wherein the inner cover layer is formed from a first ionomer composition and wherein the outer cover layer is formed from a second ionomer composition.
