Delaying Transmission Depending on Transmission Type and UE Processing Capabilities
Abstract
Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a radio network node ( 12 ) for handling transmission of data from a wireless device ( 10 ) in a wireless communication network ( 1 ). The radio network node ( 12 ) determines a delay value for a transmission of data from the wireless device ( 10 ) based on a transmission type of data from the wireless device ( 10 ) or a capability of the wireless device ( 10 ). The capability is related to a processing time for processing received data from the radio network node ( 12 ), or for processing data for transmission to the radio network node. The radio network node further transmits an indication, to the wireless device ( 10 ), which indication indicates the determined delay value.

61 . A method performed by a radio network node for handling transmission of data from a wireless device in a wireless communication network, the method comprising:
determining a delay value for a transmission of data from the wireless device based on a transmission type of data from the wireless device or a capability of the wireless device, which capability is related to a processing time for processing received data from the radio network node, or for processing data for transmission to the radio network node; and transmitting the determined delay value to the wireless device.
62 . A method according to claim 61 , wherein the determined delay value is a default value for the wireless device to use as default based on the transmission type of data from the wireless device.
63 . A method according to claim 61 , wherein the determined delay value is an adjusted value based on the capability of the wireless device related to the processing time of the wireless device.
64 . A method according to claim 61 , further comprising
receiving, from the wireless device, a capability indication indicating the capability related to the processing time; and wherein the capability indication is used in the determining of the delay value, wherein the capability indication is a smallest delay value supported by the wireless device or is an index value indicating a set of delay values.
65 . A method according to claim 64 , further comprising
setting a default value as an initial delay value for the wireless device for a transmission of data from the wireless device based on a transmission type of data from the wireless device; and indicating the set default value to the wireless device with a default indication.
66 . A method according to claim 61 , wherein the determined delay value is an index value of a table mapping the index value to a delay value.
67 . A method performed by a wireless device for handling a transmission of data in a wireless communication network, the method comprising:
receiving a delay value from a radio network node, which delay value indicates a delay value for a transmission of data from the wireless device based on a transmission type of data from the wireless device or a capability of the wireless device, which capability is related to a processing time for processing received data from the radio network node, or for processing data for transmission to the radio network node; and performing a transmission of data to the radio network node delayed based on the received delay value.
68 . A method according to claim 67 , further comprising
transmitting, to the radio network node, a capability indication indicating the capability related to the processing time of the wireless device.
69 . A method according to claim 67 , wherein the capability indication is a smallest delay value supported by the wireless device.
70 . A method according to claim 67 , wherein the capability indication is an index value indicating a set of delay values.
71 . A method according to claim 67 , further comprising
obtaining a default indication indicating a default value of an initial delay value for the wireless device for a transmission of data from the wireless device, which default value is based on a transmission type of data from the wireless device; and using the default value when performing one or more transmissions of data to the radio network node until receiving the delay value, and the received delay value indicates the delay value for a transmission of data from the wireless device based the capability of the wireless device.
72 . A method according to claim 71 , wherein the obtaining the default indication comprises obtaining a second default value of a second initial delay value for the wireless device for a transmission of data from the wireless device, which second default value is based on a second transmission type of data from the wireless device; and the using the default value comprises using the second default value when performing one or more transmissions of the second transmission type to the radio network node.
73 . A method according to claim 67 , wherein the delay value is an index value of a table mapping the index value to a delay value.
74 . A radio network node for handling transmission of data from a wireless device in a wireless communication network, the radio network node comprising:
a processor and a memory, the memory comprising instructions executable by the processor whereby the radio network node is configured to:
determine a delay value for a transmission of data from the wireless device based on a transmission type of data from the wireless device or a capability of the wireless device, which capability is related to a processing time for processing received data from the radio network node, or for processing data for transmission to the radio network node; and to
transmit the determined delay value to the wireless device.
75 . A radio network node according to claim 74 , wherein the determined delay value is a default value for the wireless device to use as default based on the transmission type of data from the wireless device.
76 . A radio network node according to claim 74 , wherein the determined delay value is an adjusted value based on a capability of the wireless device related to the processing time of the wireless device.
77 . A radio network node according to claim 74 , further configured to:
receive, from the wireless device, a capability indication indicating the capability related to the processing time of the wireless device; and determine the delay value based on the received capability indication, wherein the capability indication is a smallest delay value supported by the wireless device or is an index value indicating a set of delay values.
78 . A radio network node according to claim 77 , further being configured to
set a default value as an initial delay value for the wireless device for a transmission of data from the wireless device based on a transmission type of data from the wireless device; and to indicate the set default value to the wireless device with a default indication.
79 . A radio network node according to claim 74 , wherein the determined delay value is an index value of a table mapping the index value to a delay value.
80 . A wireless device for handling a transmission of data in a wireless communication network, the wireless device comprising:
a processor and a memory, the memory comprising instructions executable by the processor whereby the wireless device is configured to:
receive a delay value from a radio network node, which delay value indicates a delay value for a transmission of data from the wireless device based on a transmission type of data from the wireless device or a capability of the wireless device, which capability is related to a processing time for processing received data from the radio network node, or for processing data for transmission to the radio network node; and to
perform a transmission of data to the radio network node delayed based on the received delay value.
81 . A wireless device according to claim 80 , further configured to
transmit, to the radio network node, a capability indication indicating the capability related to the processing time of the wireless device.
82 . A wireless device according to claim 81 , wherein the capability indication is a smallest delay value supported by the wireless device.
83 . A wireless device according to claim 81 , wherein the capability indication is an index value indicating a set of delay values.
84 . A wireless device according to claim 81 , further configured to
obtain a default indication indicating a default value of an initial delay value for the wireless device for a transmission of data from the wireless device, which default value is based on a transmission type of data from the wireless device; use the default value when performing one or more transmissions of data to the radio network node until receiving the delay value, and the received delay value indicates the delay value for a transmission of data from the wireless device based the capability of the wireless device.
85 . A wireless device according to claim 84 , further configured to:
obtain a second default value of a second initial delay value for the wireless device for a transmission of data from the wireless device, which second default value is based on a second transmission type of data from the wireless device; and use the second default value when performing one or more transmissions of the second transmission type to the radio network node.
