Foundation Waterproofing Assembly
Abstract
A foundation waterproofing assembly for cracked foundations includes a panel that is flexible and water resistant. A plurality of slats is coupled to and extends substantially perpendicularly from the panel. The slats are positioned in parallel on the panel and extend from a top to a bottom of the panel. The panel is configured to bend into a curved configuration such that the panel is insertable into a recess adjoining at least one crack in a foundation. The panel is configured to direct water entering the recess from the at least one crack to a point below a floor abutting the foundation, such that water is prevented from penetrating to the interior of the structure.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . Foundation waterproofing assembly comprising:
a panel, said panel being flexible, said panel being water resistant; a plurality of slats coupled to and extending substantially perpendicularly from said panel, said slats being positioned in parallel on said panel, said slats extending from a top to a bottom of said panel; and wherein said panel is bent into a curved configuration such that said slats extend from a concavely arcuate surface of said panel wherein said panel is configured to be insertable into a recess adjoining at least one crack in a foundation, such that said panel is configured to direct water entering the recess from the at least one crack to a point below a floor abutting the foundation, such that water is prevented from penetrating to the interior of the structure.
2 . The assembly of claim 1 , further including said slats being substantially evenly spaced between opposing edges of said panel.
3 . The assembly of claim 1 , further including said plurality of slats comprising from five to fifteen said slats.
4 . The assembly of claim 3 , further including said plurality of slats comprising from seven to twelve said slats.
5 . The assembly of claim 4 , further including said plurality of slats comprising nine said slats.
6 . The assembly of claim 2 , further including said slats being spaced at from one to seven centimeters.
7 . The assembly of claim 6 , further including said slats being spaced at from three to five centimeters.
8 . The assembly of claim 7 , further including said slats being spaced at from 3.7 to 3.9 centimeters.
9 . The assembly of claim 1 , further including each said slat extending from 0.5 to 4.0 millimeters from said panel.
10 . The assembly of claim 9 , further including each said slat extending from 1.0 to 2.0 millimeters from said panel.
11 . The assembly of claim 10 , further including each said slat extending from 1.5 to 1.6 millimeters from said panel.
12 . The assembly of claim 1 , further including a pair of strips coupled singly to opposing edges of said panel, said strips extending substantially perpendicularly from said panel, said strips being opposingly positioned to said slats, wherein said strips are positioned on said opposing edges of said panel such that said strips are configured for substantially coplanar positioning on the wall when said panel is in the curved configuration.
13 . The assembly of claim 1 , further including said panel comprising plastic.
14 . Foundation waterproofing assembly comprising:
a panel, said panel being flexible, said panel being water resistant, said panel comprising plastic; a plurality of slats coupled to and extending substantially perpendicularly from said panel, said slats being positioned in parallel on said panel, said slats extending from a top to a bottom of said panel, said slats being substantially evenly spaced between opposing edges of said panel, said plurality of slats comprising from five to fifteen said slats, said slats being spaced at from one to seven centimeters, said slats being spaced at from three to five centimeters, each said slat extending from 0.5 to 4.0 millimeters from said panel; a pair of strips coupled singly to said opposing edges of said panel, said strips extending substantially perpendicularly from said panel, said strips being opposingly positioned to said slats, wherein said strips are positioned on said opposing edges of said panel such that said strips are configured for substantially coplanar positioning on the wall when said panel is in the curved configuration; and wherein said panel is bent into a curved configuration such that said slats extend from a concavely arcuate surface of said panel wherein said panel is configured to be insertable into a recess adjoining at least one crack in a foundation, such that said panel is configured to direct water entering the recess from the at least one crack to a point below a floor abutting the foundation, such that water is prevented from penetrating to the interior of the structure.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
