Ethynyl derivatives

Abstract

The present invention relates to compounds that may be used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, anxiety, emesis, obsessive compulsive disorder, autism, neuroprotection, cancer, depression or diabetes type 2.

1 . A compound of formula IA or IB 
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or acid addition salt, a racemic mixture, or its corresponding enantiomer and/or optical isomer and/or stereoisomer thereof. 
       
     
     
         2 . A process for the manufacture of the compound of formula IA or IB as defined in  claim 1 , which process comprises
 alkylating a compound of formula   
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         with ethyliodide and separating of the isomers to a compound of formulas 
       
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         or, if desired, converting the compound obtained into a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 
       
     
     
         3 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula IA or IB as in  claim 1  and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. 
     
     
         4 . A method for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, anxiety, emesis, obsessive compulsive disorder, autism, neuroprotection, cancer, depression and diabetes type 2 in a mammal, which method comprises administering an effective amount of a compound of formula IA or IB as in  claim 1  to the mammal in need thereof.
