Drug for preventing and/or treating dementia

Abstract

Provided is a drug superior for preventing and/or treating dementia. It contains a carbostyril derivative of the following formula (1) (wherein R is a cycloalkyl group, A is a lower alkyl group, and a single bond or a double bond is present between the 3-position and the 4-position of the carbostyril nucleus) and dihydroquercetin.

1 . A drug for preventing and/or treating dementia comprising a carbostyril derivative represented by the following formula (1) (wherein R is a cycloalkyl group, A is a lower alkyl group, and a single bond or a double bond is present between the 3-position and the 4-position of the carbostyril nucleus) or a salt thereof, and 
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         dihydroquercetin or a salt thereof. 
       
     
     
         2 . A drug for preventing and/or treating dementia, wherein an active ingredient, a carbostyril derivative of the following formula (1) (wherein R is a cycloalkyl group, A is a lower alkyl group, and a single bond or a double bond is present between the 3-position and the 4-position of the carbostyril nucleus) or a salt thereof, and 
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         an active ingredient, dihydroquercetin or a salt thereof, are administered in combination. 
       
     
     
         3 . The drug according to  claim 2 , wherein the carbostyril derivative is 6-[4-(1-cyclohexyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)butoxy]-3,4-dihydrocarbostyril. 
     
     
         4 . The drug according to  claim 2 , wherein the dihydroquercetin is taxifolin. 
     
     
         5 . The drug according to  claim 2 , wherein the dementia is Alzheimer-type dementia, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal dementia, cerebrovascular dementia, Parkinson's disease, Down's syndrome or Huntington's disease. 
     
     
         6 . The drug according to  claim 5  used for preventing and/or treating a behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia in Alzheimer-type dementia. 
     
     
         7 . The drug according to  claim 1 , wherein the carbostyril derivative is 6-[4-(1-cyclohexyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)butoxy]-3,4-dihydrocarbostyril. 
     
     
         8 . The drug according to  claim 1 , wherein the dihydroquercetin is taxifolin. 
     
     
         9 . The drug according to  claim 1 , wherein the dementia is Alzheimer-type dementia, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal dementia, cerebrovascular dementia, Parkinson's disease, Down's syndrome or Huntington's disease. 
     
     
         10 . The drug according to  claim 9  used for preventing and/or treating a behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia in Alzheimer-type dementia.
