Abstract
An externally rigid to semi-rigid wearable computer case for housing various computer components may include two different types of external sides: ventilated-sides and a non-ventilated side. In some embodiments, the wearable computer case may have four to five ventilated-sides. The ventilated-sides and the non-ventilated side together may form an enclosure for housing the various computer components. The ventilated-sides may include ventilation-holes. The ventilation-holes in a given ventilated-side may provide for a ratio of void space to non-void space (in terms of external surface area) that may be substantially from and including 0.6 to 0.4. Some embodiments may also provide for hot swap battery pack(s) that may be external to the wearable computer case and that may provide at least some electrical power to the various computer components housed within the wearable computer case. The wearable computer case and/or the hot swap battery pack(s) may be for VR/AR/MR use.

1 . A battery pack system comprising a battery-pack-shell and a battery-pack-holder; wherein the battery-pack-shell is removably attachable to the battery-pack-holder.
2 . The battery pack system according to claim 1 , wherein the battery back system provides at least some electrical power to computer components.
3 . The battery pack system according to claim 1 , wherein the battery back system is located externally, but proximate, to a wearable computer case; wherein the battery back system is in electrical communication with at least one electrical hardware component of the wearable computer case.
4 . The battery pack system according to claim 1 , wherein the battery back system is removably attached to an exterior of a user.
5 . The battery pack system according to claim 1 , wherein the battery-pack-shell is a substantially elongate container for housing at least one battery-cell.
6 . The battery pack system according to claim 1 , wherein the battery pack system comprises a plurality of battery-cells, wherein the plurality of battery-cells are removably housed within the battery-pack-shell.
7 . The battery pack system according to claim 6 , wherein at least one battery-cell selected from the plurality of battery-cells is rechargeable.
8 . The battery pack system according to claim 6 , wherein at least one battery-cell selected from the plurality of battery-cells is lithium based.
9 . The battery pack system according to claim 6 , wherein at least one battery-cell selected from the plurality of battery-cells is of a standard sized battery.
10 . The battery pack system according to claim 6 , wherein at least one battery-cell selected from the plurality of battery-cells is swappable for another at least one battery-cell.
11 . The battery pack system according to claim 6 , wherein the plurality of battery-cells are arranged in an electrically operative “8S2P” configuration of two segments each of eight battery-cells in series; wherein the two segments are in parallel arrangement with respect to each other.
12 . The battery pack system according to claim 6 , wherein at least some of the plurality of battery-cells are arranged in an electrically operative parallel configuration.
13 . The battery pack system according to claim 6 , wherein between two adjacent battery-cells selected from the plurality of battery-cells is at least one connector-strip, wherein the at least one connector-strip is constructed from one or more electrically conductive materials such that the at least one connector-strip provides for electrical communication between the two adjacent battery-cells.
14 . The battery pack system according to claim 13 , wherein where the at least one connector-strip touches the two adjacent battery-cells, the at least one connector-strip is thicker than at other regions of the at least one connector-strip.
15 . The battery pack system according to claim 13 , wherein the at least one connector-strip is held in place providing electrical communication to the two adjacent battery-cells by a connector-strip-holder.
16 . The battery pack system according to claim 13 , wherein the plurality of battery-cells and the at least one connector-strip are removable from the battery-pack-shell for rebalancing of the plurality of battery-cells; wherein once rebalanced, the plurality of battery-cells are inserted back into the battery-pack-shell.
17 . The battery pack system according to claim 6 , wherein the battery pack system further comprises at least one fuse, wherein the at least one fuse is housed within the battery-pack-shell, wherein the at least one fuse electrically links at least some of the battery-cells selected from the plurality of battery-cells together.
18 . The battery pack system according to claim 1 , wherein located exteriorly on the battery pack system is at least one positional-sensor to facilitate rendering a location of the battery pack system in a virtual reality environment, in an augmented reality environment, or in a mixed reality environment.
19 . The battery pack system according to claim 1 , wherein the battery-pack-holder comprises at least one hook; wherein the battery-pack-shell comprises at least one hook-receiver, wherein the at least one hook removably attaches to the at least one hook-receiver to provide the removable attachment between the battery-pack-shell and the battery-pack-holder.
