Abstract

A system for secure transfer of encrypted data involves a sender client, a recipient client, a main server, and a key server. The sender client receives instructions from a first user identifying transfer data and a recipient identifier, creates a key, encodes the transfer data using the key, and communicates the key and the recipient identifier to a server. The server creates a secure package identifier and communicates such to the sender client. The recipient client receives and identifies the secure package identifier and the encoded transfer data, receives from a second user a user identifier, and communicates the user identifier and the secure package identifier to the server. The server communicates the key to the recipient client only if the secure package identifier received from the recipient client matches the secure package identifier created by the server and if the user identifier matches the recipient identifier.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, perform a method of securely transferring a message between a sender and a recipient, comprising the steps of:
receiving, from the sender of the message and by a sending computer, biometric authentication information for the sender; using the biometric authentication information for the sender, authenticating the sender of the message; based on the step of authenticating the sender, granting the sender access to the sending computer; receiving, from the sender and by the sending computer, the message and information indicative of the recipient of the message; determining, by the sending computer, a transaction-specific encryption key for the message; encrypting, by the sending computer and with the transaction-specific encryption key, the message to produce an encrypted message; transmitting, by the sending computer, the encrypted message and the information indicative of the recipient to a server computer; determining, by the server computer and based on the information indicative of the recipient, a recipient computer; transmitting, by the server and to the recipient computer, the encrypted message; receiving, by the recipient computer, the encrypted message; receiving, by the recipient computer, biometric authentication information for the recipient of the message; using the biometric authentication information for the recipient of the message, authenticating the recipient of the message; based on the step of authenticating the recipient, granting the recipient access to the recipient computer; determining, by the recipient computer, the transaction-specific encryption key for the message; decrypting, by the recipient computer and with the transaction-specific encryption key, the encrypted message to produce the message; presenting the recipient with the message on the recipient computer.

2 . The media of claim 1 , wherein the sending computer is a first wireless handheld communications device and wherein the recipient computer is a second wireless handheld communications device.

3 . The media of claim 2 , wherein the first wireless handheld communications device receives the biometric authentication information for the sender from an integrated biometric sensor.

4 . The media of claim 3 , wherein the integrated biometric sensor is a fingerprint reader.

5 . The media of claim 2 , wherein biometric authentication information for the sender is facial characteristics for the sender.

6 . The media of claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises the steps of:
receiving, from the recipient, a second message; encrypting, by the recipient computer and with the transaction-specific encryption key, the second message to obtain a second encrypted message; transmitting, by the recipient computer and to the server computer, the second encrypted message; transmitting, by the server computer and to the sending computer, the second encrypted message; decrypting, by the sending computer, the second encrypted message to obtain the second message; presenting, to the sender, the second message.
