Abstract

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided for performing secure commercial transactions. The commercial transactions may be, for example, pre-pay pickup transactions, direct pay transactions, and transfer transactions. An identity of a user that initiates a commercial transaction may be verified based on biometric data. The biometric data may, for example, be representative of an image of at least a portion of a face of an individual, an image of an iris of an individual, at least a portion of a fingerprint of an individual, a temperature signature of an individual, a heartbeat signature of an individual, an odor characteristic of an individual, or a voice characteristic of an individual. The application can be utilized in commercial environments, getting rid of the traditional way to do transactions providing direct interaction between the merchant and the issuer of funds as well as allow an individual to engage as a buyer or seller position within a single profile, representative of an individual or business profile within a marketplace social community.

         21 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
 storing, in a biometric data database , particular, sample biometric data that was provided by a particular purchaser user as part of an enrollment process with the transaction facilitation system;   determining, by one or more transaction facilitation servers, that the particular purchaser user has initiated a transaction with a particular seller user while the particular purchaser user is located away from a pickup location that is associated with the transaction;   providing, by the one or more transaction facilitation servers while the particular purchaser user travels to the pickup location that is associated with the transaction, (i) a purchaser user interface for output on a particular mobile computing device of the particular purchaser user, the purchaser user interface including one or more real-time images of the particular seller user that are obtained by the camera of a particular computing device that of the particular seller user after determining that the particular purchaser user has initiated the transaction, and (ii) a seller user interface for output on a particular computing device that of the particular seller user, the seller user interface including one or more real-time images of the particular purchaser user that are obtained by the camera of the particular mobile computing device of the particular purchaser user after determining that the particular purchaser user has initiated the transaction;   determining, by the one or more transaction facilitation servers after the particular purchaser user has arrived at the pickup location, that current biometric data of the particular purchaser user that was obtained by the camera of the particular mobile computing device matches the particular, sample biometric data that was provided by the particular purchaser user as part of the enrollment process with the transaction facilitation system;   designating, by the one or more transaction facilitation servers after the current biometric data of the particular purchaser user is determined to match the particular, sample biometric data, the transaction as complete; and   providing, by the one or more transaction facilitation servers, a confirmation message that indicates that the transaction has been designated as complete.   
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 21 , comprising providing, by the one or more transaction facilitation servers while the particular purchaser user travels to the pickup location that is associated with the transaction, one or more verification questions for output on the particular purchaser user interface, for periodically verifying an identify of the particular purchaser user. 
     
     
         23 . The method of  claim 21  comprising, before the particular purchaser user has initiated the transaction, using a geolocation module of the particular mobile computing device of the particular purchaser user to identify the particular seller user as a party to the transaction. 
     
     
         24 . The method of  claim 21 , wherein:
 a transaction facilitation system includes (i) the biometric data database, (ii) mobile computing devices that are each associated with different purchaser users, the mobile computing devices each including a camera, (iii) computing devices that are each associated with different seller users, the computing devices each including a camera, and (iv) one or more transaction facilitation servers; and   the sample biometric data is derived by the one or more transaction facilitation servers from a picture of a face of the particular purchaser user.   
     
     
         25 . The method of  claim 21 , comprising:
 storing, by the one or more transaction facilitation servers, (i) data identifying the transaction, correlated with (ii) the current biometric data, in a transaction log; and   providing time lapse information and corresponding geolocation information of the particular purchaser user for presentation in the seller user interface as the particular purchaser user travels to the pickup location.   
     
     
         26 . The method of  claim 21 , wherein the one or more real-time images comprise live video. 
     
     
         27 . The method of  claim 21 , wherein the one or more transaction facilitation servers further facilitate one or more payments that are associated with the transaction. 
     
     
         28 . A transaction facilitation system comprising:
 one or more processing devices; and   one or more storage devices storing instructions that are executable by the one or more processing devices to perform operations comprising:
 storing, in a biometric data database, particular, sample biometric data that was provided by a particular purchaser user as part of an enrollment process with the transaction facilitation system; 
 determining that the particular purchaser user has initiated a transaction with a particular seller user while the particular purchaser user is located away from a pickup location that is associated with the transaction; 
 providing, while the particular purchaser user travels to the pickup location that is associated with the transaction, (i) a purchaser user interface for output on a particular mobile computing device of the particular purchaser user, the purchaser user interface including one or more real-time images of the particular seller user that are obtained by the camera of a particular computing device of the particular seller user after determining that the particular purchaser user has initiated the transaction, and (ii) a seller user interface for output on a particular computing device of the particular seller user, the seller user interface including one or more real-time images of the particular purchaser user that are obtained by the camera of the particular mobile computing device of the particular purchaser user after determining that the particular purchaser user has initiated the transaction; 
 determining, after the particular purchaser user has arrived at the pickup location, that current biometric data of the particular purchaser user that was obtained by the camera of the particular, mobile computing device matches the particular, sample biometric data that was provided by the particular purchaser user as part of the enrollment process with the transaction facilitation system; 
 designating, after the current biometric data of the particular purchaser user is determined to match the particular, sample biometric data, the transaction as complete; and 
 providing a confirmation message that indicates that the transaction has been designated as complete. 
   
     
     
         29 . The system of  claim 28 , wherein the operations comprise providing, while the particular purchaser user travels to the pickup location that is associated with the transaction, one or more verification questions for output on the particular purchaser user interface, for periodically verifying an identify of the particular purchaser user.

The system of  claim 28 , wherein the operations comprise, before the particular purchaser user has initiated the transaction, using a geolocation module of the particular mobile computing device of the particular purchaser user to identify the particular seller user as a party to the transaction. 
     
     
         31 . The system of  claim 28 , wherein:
 the transaction facilitation system incudes (i) a biometric data database, (ii) mobile computing devices that are each associated with different purchaser users, the mobile computing devices each including a camera, (iii) computing devices that are each associated with different seller users, the computing devices each including a camera, and (iv) one or more transaction facilitation servers, the transaction facilitation system the sample biometric data is derived by the one or more transaction facilitation servers from a picture of a face of the particular purchaser user.   
     
     
         32 . The system of  claim 28 , wherein the operations comprise:
 storing (i) data identifying the transaction, correlated with (ii) the current biometric data, in a transaction log; and   providing time lapse information and corresponding geolocation information of the particular purchaser user for presentation in the seller user interface as the particular purchaser user travels to the pickup location.   
     
     
         33 . The system of  claim 28 , wherein the one or more real-time images comprise live video. 
     
     
         34 . The system of  claim 28 , wherein the one or more transaction facilitation servers further facilitate one or more payments that are associated with the transaction. 
     
     
         35 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage device storing instructions, that when executed by one or more processors, cause performance of operations that comprise:
 storing, in a biometric data database particular, sample biometric data that was provided by a particular purchaser user as part of an enrollment process with the transaction facilitation system;   determining that the particular purchaser user has initiated a transaction with a particular seller user while the particular purchaser user is located away from a pickup location that is associated with the transaction;   providing, while the particular purchaser user travels to the pickup location that is associated with the transaction, (i) a purchaser user interface for output on a particular mobile computing device of the particular purchaser user, the purchaser user interface including one or more real-time images of the particular seller user that are obtained by the camera of a particular computing device of the particular seller user after determining that the particular purchaser user has initiated the transaction, and (ii) a seller user interface for output on a particular computing device of the particular seller user, the seller user interface including one or more real-time images of the particular purchaser user that are obtained by the camera of the particular mobile computing device of the particular purchaser user after determining that the particular purchaser user has initiated the transaction;   determining, after the particular purchaser user has arrived at the pickup location, that current biometric data of the particular purchaser user that was obtained by the camera of the particular, mobile computing device matches the particular, sample biometric data that was provided by the particular purchaser user as part of the enrollment process with the transaction facilitation system;   designating, after the current biometric data of the particular purchaser user is determined to match the particular, sample biometric data, the transaction as complete; and   providing a confirmation message that indicates that the transaction has been designated as complete.   
     
     
         36 . The device of  claim 35 , wherein the operations comprise providing, while the particular purchaser user travels to the pickup location that is associated with the transaction, one or more verification questions for output on the particular purchaser user interface, for periodically verifying an identify of the particular purchaser user. 
     
     
         37 . The device of  claim 35 , wherein the operations comprise, before the particular purchaser user has initiated the transaction, using a geolocation module of the particular mobile computing device of the particular purchaser user to identify the particular seller user as a party to the transaction. 
     
     
         38 . The device of  claim 35 , wherein the sample biometric data is derived by the one or more transaction facilitation servers from a picture of a face of the particular purchaser user. 
     
     
         39 . The device of  claim 35 , wherein the operations comprise:
 storing (i) data identifying the transaction, correlated with (ii) the current biometric data, in a transaction log; and   providing time lapse information and corresponding geolocation information of the particular purchaser user for presentation in the seller user interface as the particular purchaser user travels to the pickup location.   
     
     
         40 . The device of  claim 35 , wherein the one or more real-time images comprise live video.
