Abstract
A support for a personal electronic device is configured for attachment to a seatback in a vehicle. The support includes a body connected at a back end to the seatback, the body having a top surface, the body configured to be rotatable from a stowed position to an open position; and a slot disposed in the top surface of the body, the slot having a front wall, a back wall and a bottom wall, the slot dimensioned to receive an edge of the portable electronic device and to hold the portable electronic device upright when the edge of the portable electronic device is received within the slot between the front wall and the back wall.

a body connected at a back end to the seatback, the body having a top surface, the body configured to be rotatable from a stowed position to an open position; and a slot disposed in the top surface of the body, the slot having a front wall, a back wall and a bottom wall, the slot dimensioned to receive an edge of the portable electronic device and to hold the portable electronic device upright when the edge of the portable electronic device is received within the slot between the front wall and the back wall, wherein at least one of the front wall and the back wall is at a non-perpendicular angle to the top surface of the body.
2 . The support of claim 1 , wherein the front wall and the back wall of the slot form a generally V-shape.
3 . The support of claim 1 , wherein the front and back walls of the slot are in a tapered shape.
4 . The support of claim 1 , wherein the slot is near a front of the body.
5 . The support of claim 1 , wherein the slot is configured to hold the personal electronic device at inclined angle with respect to the top surface of the body.
6 . A support for a personal electronic device, the support configured for attachment to a seatback in a vehicle, comprising:
a body connected at a back end to the seatback, the body having a top surface, the body configured to be rotatable from a stowed position to an open position; and a slot disposed in the top surface of the body, the slot having a front wall, a back wall and a bottom wall, the slot dimensioned to receive an edge of the portable electronic device and to hold the portable electronic device upright when the edge of the portable electronic device is received within the slot between the front wall and the back wall, wherein the front wall and the back wall of the slot form a generally V-shape.
7 . The support of claim 6 , wherein at least one of the front wall and the back wall is at a non-perpendicular angle to the top surface of the body.
8 . The support of claim 6 , wherein the front and back walls of the slot are in a tapered shape.
9 . The support of claim 6 , wherein the slot is near a front of the body.
10 . The support of claim 6 , wherein the slot is configured to hold the personal electronic device at inclined angle with respect to the top surface of the body.
11 . A support for a personal electronic device, the support configured for attachment to a seatback in a vehicle, comprising:
a body connected at a back end to the seatback, the body having a top surface, the body configured to be rotatable from a stowed position to an open position; and a slot disposed in the top surface of the body, the slot having a front wall, a back wall and a bottom wall, the slot dimensioned to receive an edge of the portable electronic device and to hold the portable electronic device upright when the edge of the portable electronic device is received within the slot between the front wall and the back wall, wherein the front and back walls of the slot are in a tapered shape.
12 . The support of claim 11 , wherein at least one of the front wall and the back wall is at a non-perpendicular angle to the top surface of the body.
13 . The support of claim 11 , wherein the front wall and the back wall of the slot form a generally V-shape.
