Headband with Infinity Scarf

Abstract

A combination headband and neck scarf in an endless loop is provided. A neck scarf portion has a first width and a headband portion has a second width wherein the first width is larger than the second width. The neck scarf portion and the headband portion form one continuous piece.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A combination headband and neck scarf comprising:
 a neck scarf portion having a constant first width; and   a headband portion having a constant second width wherein said first width is larger than said second width and wherein said neck scarf portion and said headband portion are one continuous piece forming an endless loop and wherein said headband portion size or tightness is adjustable by an adjustment mechanism having a first part located at a first junction between said neck scarf portion and said headband portion and having a second part located at a second junction between said neck scarf portion and said headband portion, wherein said first and second parts of said adjustment mechanism comprise one of: a button and buttonhole, two parts of a snap, a hook and eye, a hook and loop fastener, a zipper, a button and loop, a grommet, an eyelet, lacing, ties, and a pair of elastic segments wherein said adjustment mechanism does not join said headband portion and said neck scarf portion into said endless loop.

         3 . The combination headband and neck scarf according to  claim 1  further comprising a decorative button on a front of said headband portion. 
     
     
         4 . The combination headband and neck scarf according to  claim 3  further comprising a plurality of embellishments, each configured to be alternatively attached to said headband portion by said decorative button. 
     
     
         5 . The combination headband and neck scarf according to  claim 1  wherein said headband portion is configured to be worn over ears and head of a user. 
     
     
         6 . The combination headband and neck scarf according to  claim 1  wherein said neck scarf portion is configured to be worn around a neck of a user. 
     
     
         7 . The combination headband and neck scarf according to  claim 1  wherein both said neck scarf and said headband portions are configured to be worn around a neck of a user. 
     
     
         8 . The combination headband and neck scarf according to  claim 7  wherein said headband portion is configured to be attached to said neck scarf portion by a decorative button on said headband portion pushed through a buttonhole or through an opening in fabric of said neck scarf portion when both said neck scarf and headband portions are worn around the neck of said user. 
     
     
         9 . The combination headband and neck scarf according to  claim 1  wherein said neck scarf portion and headband portion comprise one or more of the following:
 one or both of said neck scarf portion and said headband portion knitted; 
 one or both of said neck scarf portion and said headband portion crocheted; and 
 one or both of said neck scarf portion and said headband portion made of fabric. 
 
     
     
         10 . The combination headband and neck scarf according to  claim 1  wherein said headband portion and said neck scarf portion are lined with fleece. 
     
     
         11 . A method of wearing a combination headband and neck scarf comprising:
 providing a combination headband and neck scarf comprising:
 a neck scarf portion having a first width; 
 a headband portion having a second width wherein said first width is larger than said second width and wherein said neck scarf portion and said headband portion are one continuous piece forming an endless loop; and 
 an adjustment mechanism having a first part located at a first junction between said neck scarf portion and said headband portion and having a second part located at a second junction between said neck scarf portion and said headband portion; 
   placing said headband portion over ears and head of a user;   optionally adjusting size or tightness of said headband portion over said user's ears and head by combining said first and second parts of said adjustment mechanism; and   thereafter, in a figure 8 pattern, placing said neck scarf portion around said user's neck.   
     
     
         12 . The method according to  claim 11  wherein said first and second parts of said adjustment mechanism comprise one of: a button and buttonhole, two parts of a snap, a hook and eye, a hook and loop fastener, two parts of a zipper, a button and loop, a grommet, an eyelet, lacing, ties, and a pair of elastic segments. 
     
     
         13 . The method according to  claim 11  further comprising:
 placing a decorative button on a front of said headband portion. 
 
     
     
         14 . The method according to  claim 13  further comprising attaching one of a plurality of embellishments to said headband portion by said decorative button. 
     
     
         15 . The method according to  claim 13  further comprising:
 removing said headband portion from over said user's head and ears; and 
 attaching said headband portion to said neck scarf portion by said decorative button. 
 
     
     
         16 . A method of making a combination headband and neck scarf comprising:
 knitting, crocheting, or sewing a neck scarf portion having a first constant width;   knitting, crocheting, or sewing a headband portion having a second constant width wherein said first width is larger than said second width and wherein said neck scarf portion and said headband portion are permanently joined together in one continuous piece forming an endless loop; and   adding an adjustment mechanism having a first part located at a first junction between said neck scarf portion and said headband portion and having a second part located at a second junction between said neck scarf portion and said headband portion for adjusting size or tightness of said headband portion over a user's ears and wherein said first and second parts of said adjustment mechanism comprise one of: a button and buttonhole, two parts of a snap, a hook and eye, a hook and loop fastener, a zipper, a button and loop, a grommet, an eyelet, lacing, and ties.

         18 . The method according to  claim 16  further comprising:
 placing a decorative button on a front of said headband portion wherein said decorative button is configured to do one or more of: 
 providing a decoration to said headband portion; 
 attaching said headband portion to said neck scarf portion; and 
 attaching one of a plurality of embellishments to said headband portion. 
 
     
     
         19 . The method according to  claim 16  wherein said headband portion comprises a non-stretchable fabric and further comprising attaching an elastic segment at each side between said headband portion and said neck scarf portion. 
     
     
         20 . The method according to  claim 16  wherein said headband portion and said neck scarf portion are lined with fleece.
