Personalized activity data gathering based on multi-variable user input and multi-dimensional schema

Abstract

A method of personalized activity focused results includes generating a first internet search index using a webcrawler, associating a plurality of action verbs with a user interests by receiving textual user interest data, generating a user-specific search index using a plurality of associations between each of the plurality of action verbs and each of the plurality of user interests, the user-specific search index combining the first internet search index with the plurality of associations between each of the plurality of web pages and each of the plurality of user interests, receiving a query from the user computing device via a network, the query including at least one query action verb, retrieving from the user-specific index at least one web page associated with an action verb associated with the at least a user interest, and sending the at least one web page to the user computing device via the network.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method of personalized activity focused results based on a query relating to an activity submitted via a network from a user computing device, the method comprising:
 generating, by a search module operating on a query server, a first internet search index, wherein generating the first internet search index further comprises:
 gathering information concerning a plurality of web pages from the Internet using a web crawler; and 
 generating the first internet search index using the gathered information; 
   populating, at the query server, a database associating a plurality of action verbs with a plurality of user interests of a user, wherein populating the database further comprises:
 receiving, at the query server, user interest data including text describing the plurality of user interests, the text including a plurality of verb infinitives; 
 generating, by an action verb generator, the plurality of action verbs using the plurality of verb infinitives; 
 identifying, by the action verb generator, a plurality of verb-interest associations, the plurality of associations associating each action verb of the plurality of action verbs with at least one of the plurality of user interests; and 
 storing, in the database, the plurality of action verbs and the plurality of verb-interest associations; 
   generating, at the query server, a user-specific search index, wherein generating the user-specific search index further comprises:
 identifying, in the first internet search index, a plurality of associations between action verbs of the plurality of action verbs and web pages of the plurality of web pages; and 
 generating the user-specific search index combining the first internet search index with the plurality of associations between each of the action verbs and each of the plurality of user interests.
