Abstract

The invention provides a composition for oral administration that is formulated for human administration in unit dosage form and contains as its sole active ingredient at least 100 mg biotin per unit dose.

         1 . A composition for oral administration, wherein said composition is formulated for human administration in unit dosage form and contains as its sole active ingredient at least 100 mg biotin per unit dose. 
     
     
         2 . The composition of  claim 1 , comprising as an active ingredient around 100 mg biotin. 
     
     
         3 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein said unit dose is in the form of a gel capsule, a tablet, a film-coated tablet, a lozenge or a pill. 
     
     
         4 . The composition of  claim 1 , further comprising an excipient. 
     
     
         5 . The composition of  claim 4 , wherein the excipient is talc or microcrystalline cellulose.
