Gauge wheel and universal scraper for use with a conventional row planter assembly

Abstract

A ground opening disc scraper assembly comprising: a scraper arm having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the proximal end is configured for mounting to a support structure; a scraper blade; and a tensioning clip for yieldably mounting the scraper blade to the distal end of the scraper arm.

         4 . A ground opening disc scraper assembly according to  claim 21  wherein the scraper arm has a stepped profile, with a transition zone disposed between the proximal end of the scraper arm and the distal end of the scraper arm.

         8 . A ground opening disc scraper assembly according to  claim 7  wherein the distal portion of the scraper blade comprises an edge for scraping soil, mud and debris from the surface of an opening disc.

 a scraper arm having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the proximal end is configured for mounting to a support structure;   a scraper blade, wherein the scraper blade is secured to the distal end of the scraper arm.   
     
     
         22 . A ground opening disc scraper assembly according to  claim 21  wherein the scraper arm comprises at least one hole and the scraper blade comprises at least one hole.

A ground opening disc scraper assembly according to  claim 22  further comprising at least one bolt, wherein the at least one bolt is configured to pass through the at least one hole in the scraper blade and the at least one hole in the scraper arm to secure the scraper blade to the scraper arm. 
     
     
         24 . A ground opening disc scraper assembly according to  claim 22  wherein the at least one hole in the scraper blade comprises an elongated slot.
