Apparatus and method for attaching led chips
Abstract
An apparatus and a method for attaching LED chips are provided. The method includes steps of: winding a first wire and a second wire around each of holders; mounting the holders on a worktable; capturing an image of the worktable by an image capturing device; displaying the image and coordinate positions of the holders, the first wires and the second wires; inputting the number of LED chips to be attached across the first wire and the second wire to an electronic device; analyzing coordinate positions of the LED chips according to the coordinate positions of first segments of the first wire and second segments of the second wire on either sides of each of the holders, and the number of the LED chips; and attaching the LED chips across the first wire and the second wire by an attaching device.

1 . An apparatus for attaching LED chips, comprising:
a worktable; a plurality of holders mounted on the worktable; a plurality of wires including a plurality of first wires and a plurality of second wires, a plurality of first wire segments of each of the first wires wind around each of the holders at a predetermined interval along a longitudinal direction of each of the holders, and a plurality of second wire segments of each of the second wires wind around each of the holders at the predetermined interval along the longitudinal direction of each of the holders; an image capturing device disposed above the worktable and configured to capture an image of the worktable; a plurality of LED chips attached across the first wire and the second wire on the corresponding holder, where a predetermined distance between the first wire and the second wire depends on sizes of the LED chips; an electronic device connected to the image capturing device and configured to provide for inputting the number of the LED chips to be attached across the first wire and the second wire on each of the holders, the electronic device is configured to display the image, and analyze, store and display coordinate positions of the two first wire segments of the first wire that are closest to either sides of each of the holders respectively and the two second wire segments of the second wire that are closest to the either sides of the holder respectively according to a position of capturing the image by the image capturing device, the electronic device is configured to analyze coordinate positions of the LED chips to be attached according to the coordinate positions, the predetermined interval, the predetermined distance and the number of the LED chips; and an attaching device connected to the electronic device and configured to attach the LED chips across the first wire and the second wire according to the coordinate positions.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein a display screen of the electronic device is configured to display a graphical user interface, and the image captured by the image capturing device in an image region on the graphical user interface;
the display screen is configured to display a plurality of color blocks each having a first color on the graphical user interface, where the color blocks having the first color represent the LED chips to be attached across the first wire and the second wire on the holder respectively.
3 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein a processor of the electronic device is configured to control the display screen to display the color blocks each having a second color replacing the first color when each of the LED chips are attached across the first wire and the second wire on the holder;
wherein the second color is different from the first color.
4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a worktable transporting device connected to the worktable, and the worktable transporting device is configured to transport the worktable on which the holders each having the first wire and the second wire wound thereon are mounted to a position below a plurality of feeding guns in the attaching device from an outside of the attaching device before attaching the LED chips;
the worktable transporting device is configured to transport the worktable on which the holders each having the attached LED chips to another outer side of the attaching device from the position below the feeding guns in the attaching device.
5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attaching device further includes a actuator connected to feeding guns, the actuator is configured to move the feeding guns to align muzzles of the feeding guns with the first wire and the second wire across which the LED chips are to be attached;
the actuator is configured to actuate the feeding guns to move to a position close to the first wire and the second wire and actuate the feeding guns to dispense adhesives on each of the first wires and each of the second wires across which the LED chips are attached, and the actuator is configured to actuate the feeding guns to move away from the first wire and the second wire after dispensing the adhesives.

The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attaching device further includes a plurality of chip transporting devices and an actuator, the chip transporting devices are disposed adjacent to the attaching device, the actuator is connected to feeding guns of the attaching device, the chip transporting devices are configured to transport a plurality of strips each having the LED chips along a direction in which the feeding guns of the attaching device are located respectively;
the actuator is configured to actuate the feeding guns to move to positions above the strips each having the LED chips respectively, and actuate the feeding guns to take the LED chips respectively, and then actuate the feeding guns to move back to positions above the first wire and the second wire; the actuator is configured to actuate the feeding guns to align muzzles of the feeding guns with the first wire and the second wire across which the LED chips are to be attached, and then the feeding guns attach the LED chips across the first wire and the second wire on the holder respectively.
7 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein directions toward which a positive pin and a negative pin of each of the LED chips are disposed on the strips depend on directions in which the positive pin and the negative pin of each of the LED chips are to be attached across the first wire and the second wire on the holder.
8 . A method for attaching LED chips, comprising the following steps:
winding first wire segments of a first wire around each of holders at a predetermined interval along a longitudinal direction of each of the holders, and second wire segments of a second wire around each of the holders at the predetermined interval along the longitudinal direction of each of the holders, wherein a predetermined distance between each of the first wire segments and each of the adjacent second wire segments depends on a size of each of LED chips; mounting the holders on a worktable; using an image capturing device to capture an image of the worktable; storing and displaying the image of the holders, coordinate positions of the two first wire segments that are closest to either sides of each of the holders respectively, and coordinate positions of the two second wire segments that are closest to the either sides of each of the holders respectively by using an electronic device; inputting the number of the LED chips to be attached above a surface of each of the holders that faces an attaching device to the electronic device; using the electronic device to analyze coordinate positions of the LED chips to be attached across the first wire and the second wire on the holder, according to the coordinate positions of the two first wire segments and the two second wire segments that are closest to the either sides of the holder, the predetermined interval, the predetermined distance and the number of the LED chips; and using the attaching device to attach the LED chips across the first wire and the second wire according to the coordinate positions of the LED chips.
9 . The method of claim 8 , comprising the following steps:
displaying a graphical user interface and the image captured by the image capturing device in an image region on the graphical user interface by the electronic device; displaying a plurality of color blocks each having a first color on the graphical user interface by the electronic device, where the color blocks having the first color represent the LED chips to be attached across the first wire and the second wire on the holder respectively.
10 . The method of claim 9 , comprising the following steps:
when each of the LED chips are attached across the first wire and the second wire on the holder, the electronic device displays the color blocks each having a second color replacing the first color; wherein the second color is different from the first color.
11 . The method of claim 8 , comprising the following steps:
using a worktable transporting device to transport the worktable on which the holders each having the first wire and the second wire wound thereon are mounted to a position below feeding guns in the attaching device from an outside of the attaching device before attaching the LED chips; using the worktable transporting device to transport the worktable on which the holders each having the attached LED chips are mounted to another outer side of the attaching device from the position below the feeding guns in the attaching device.
12 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising the following steps: using an actuator of the attaching device to actuate the feeding guns of the attaching device to move to align muzzles of the feeding guns with the first wire and the second wire across which the LED chips are to be attached;
using the actuator to actuate the feeding guns to move to a position close to the first wire and the second wire, actuate the feeding guns to dispense adhesives on the first wires and the second wires across which the LED chips are to be attached, and actuate the feeding guns to move away from the first wire and the second wire after dispensing the adhesives.
13 . The method of claim 8 , comprising the following steps: using chip transporting devices to transport a plurality of strips each having the LED chips toward the feeding guns of the attaching device respectively;
using the actuator of the attaching device to actuate the feeding guns to move to positions above the strips each having the LED chips respectively, and to actuate the feeding guns to take the LED chips respectively; using the actuator of the attaching device to actuate the feeding guns to move back to positions above the first wire and the second wire, and actuate the feeding guns to move to align muzzles of the feeding guns with the first wire and the second wire across which the LED chips are to be attached; and using the feeding guns to attach the LED chips across the first wire and the second wire on the holder respectively.
14 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising the following steps:
using the chip transporting devices to determine directions toward which a positive pin and a negative pin of each of the LED chips are disposed on the strips, according to directions in which the positive pin and the negative pin of each of the LED chips are to be attached across the first wire and the second wire on the holder.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
