Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 53 . (canceled)
54 . An apparatus comprising:
a processor; and a memory having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the processor, direct the at least one processor to:
cause a graphical user interface (GUI) to be displayed to a first trader computer;
receive an indication to sell a simulated financial instrument from a first trader computer;
receive an indication to buy the simulated financial instrument from a second trader computer;
process the received indications to exchange the financial instrument; and
process a transaction based on the received indication to sell and the received indication to buy.
55 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the processor to respond to a request for information.
56 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the GUI comprises a trading window for a trader to input a trade request.
57 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the GUI comprises any combination of downloadable spreadsheet, table, chart, graph or any method of depicting financial information.
58 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the GUI displays sell orders and ask prices.
59 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the GUI to display buy orders and bid prices.
60 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the GUI to display information relating to a transaction.
61 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the GUI to display real market information.
62 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the GUI displays product information, and wherein the processor matches requests to buy and sell products.
63 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the processor to process and outputs real-time product information for products in the simulated market.
64 . The system of claim 54 , wherein a data transmission medium transmits and received indications between traders, a market information source, and the processor.
65 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the processor to processes real-time product and market information for products in a real market.
66 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the processor to process real-time market information for the simulated market.
67 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the processor to calculate the price of derivatives based on pricing disparities between the simulated market and a real market.
68 . The system of claim 54 , wherein the financial instrument comprises a fixed income product.
69 . A method comprising:
simulating, by at least one processor, a trading market; providing, by the at least one processor, a financial instrument to be traded within the market; assigning an amount of the financial instrument to a first broker; assigning an amount of simulated funds to a second broker; and providing, by the at least one processor, a medium within the market to trade the financial instrument for an amount of simulated funds determined by the first broker and the second broker.
70 . The method of claim 69 , further comprising:
receiving from the first broker an offer to sell the financial instrument; receiving from the second broker a bid to purchase the financial instrument matching the offer and bid.
71 . The method of claim 69 , wherein the financial instrument comprises a fixed income product.
72 . The method of claim 69 , further comprising:
responsive to matching the offer and bid:
decreasing an amount of the financial instrument associated with the first broker by a first amount;
increasing an amount of the financial instrument associated with the second broker by the first amount;
increasing an amount of simulated funds in an account associated with the first broker; and
decreasing an amount of simulated funds in an account associated with the second broker.
72 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium to store, in which the instructions, when executed by a processor, direct the processor to:
cause a graphical user interface (GUI) to be displayed to a first trader; receive an indication to sell a simulated financial instrument from a first trader; receive an indication to buy the simulated financial instrument from a second trader; process the received indications to exchange the financial instrument; and process a transaction based on the received indication to sell and the received indication to buy.
73 . The article of claim 72 , wherein the financial instrument comprises a fixed income product.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
