Abstract
An electric storage device includes a case, an electric storage element disposed in the case and away from a wall of the case, and a heat transfer member in contact with an outer surface of the wall.

1 . An electric storage device comprising:
a case; an electric storage element disposed in the case and away from a wall of the case; and a heat transfer member in contact with an outer surface of the wall.
2 . The electric storage device of claim 1 , wherein the electric storage element comprises a plurality of electric storage elements.
3 . The electric storage device of claim 1 , wherein the electric storage element comprises a winding type electric storage element.
4 . The electric storage device of claim 3 , wherein the wall comprises a plurality of walls including a terminal surface, and a winding axis of the winding type electric storage element is parallel to the terminal surface.
5 . The electric storage device of claim 1 , wherein the electric storage element comprises a stack type electric storage element formed by laminating a positive plate, a separator and a negative plate.
6 . The electric storage device of claim 1 , wherein the heat transfer member is bonded to the outer surface of the wall by an adhesive layer, is elastically deformable and comprises an electrically-insulating, synthetic resin having a thermal conductivity of at least 0.2 W/m·K.
7 . The electric storage device of claim 1 , wherein the wall of the case comprises a plurality of walls including:
a terminal wall including a long side and a short side, an electrode terminal being formed on the terminal wall; a bottom wall opposite to the terminal wall, the bottom wall including a long side and a short side; a short sidewall connecting the short side of the terminal wall and the short side of the bottom wall; and a long sidewall connecting the long side of the terminal wall and the long side of the bottom wall, and wherein the heat transfer member is in contact with an outer surface of one of the bottom wall and the short sidewall.
8 . The electric storage device of claim 1 , further comprising:
a cooling member in contact with the heat transfer member.
9 . The electric storage device of claim 8 , wherein the cooling member includes a circulation path for circulating a coolant, and the cooling member includes a metal surface which contacts the heat transfer member.
10 . The electric storage device of claim 8 , wherein the cooling member includes a circulation path for circulating a coolant, and the coolant comprises a liquid.
11 . The electric storage device of claim 10 , wherein the electric storage device is for a vehicle having a radiator, and the liquid comprises a radiator coolant of the vehicle.
12 . The electric storage device of claim 8 , wherein the cooling member comprises:
a body portion for housing a liquid coolant; an inlet port formed on the body portion, for introducing the liquid coolant into the body portion; and an outlet port formed on the body portion, for draining the liquid coolant out of the body portion.
13 . The electric storage device of claim 1 , wherein the wall of the case comprises a plurality of walls, and the heat transfer member comprises a plurality of heat transfer members in contact with the plurality of walls, respectively.
14 . The electric storage device of claim 13 , further comprising:
a plurality of cooling members, wherein the plurality of cooling members are in contact with the plurality of heat transfer members, respectively.
15 . An electric storage apparatus comprising:
a plurality of electric storage devices including a case and an electric storage element disposed in the case and away from a wall of the case; and a heat transfer member in contact with an outer surface of the wall of the case.
16 . The electric storage apparatus of claim 15 , further comprising:
a cooling member in contact with the heat transfer member.
17 . The electric storage apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the plurality of electric storage devices are arranged in the first direction, the cooling member includes a circulation path for circulating a liquid coolant, and the circulation path is formed in the first direction.
18 . The electric storage apparatus of claim 17 , wherein the heat transfer member extends across the plurality of electric storage devices and is in contact with the outer surface of the wall of the case of each of the plurality of electric storage devices.
19 . An electric storage device comprising:
a case; an electric storage element disposed in the case and away from a wall of the case; and a cooling member in contact with an outer surface of the wall.
20 . The electric storage device of claim 19 , wherein the wall of the case comprises a plurality of walls including:
a terminal wall including a long side and a short side, an electrode terminal being formed on the terminal wall; a bottom wall opposite to the terminal wall, the bottom wall including a long side and a short side; a short sidewall connecting the short side of the terminal wall and the short side of the bottom wall; and a long sidewall connecting the long side of the terminal wall and the long side of the bottom wall, and wherein the cooling member is in contact with an outer surface of one of the bottom wall and the short sidewall.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
