Abstract

A head of a golf club is provided with a high coefficient of restitution. The head has a club head, a shaft, and a buffer element. The club head has a face panel and an installing seat. The face panel is mounted on one side of the club head. The installing seat is formed on another side of the club head and has a through hole. The shaft is an elongated body, is mounted in the club head, and has a cavity and a mounting portion on two ends of the shaft. The mounting portion is securely mounted on the installing seat. The buffer element is a compressible and resilient body, and abuts the face panel. When hitting a golf, the face panel deforms concavely, and the impulse force is conserved by the buffer element so that the face panel may not split or break.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A head of a golf club, the head comprising:
 a club head being a hollow body and comprising:
 a face panel mounted on one side of the club head, the face panel having an inner surface and an outer surface; and
 an installing seat formed on another side of the club head and comprising:
 a through hole communicating with an interior of the club head;

   a shaft being an elongated body, mounted in the club head, and comprising:
 a cavity formed at one end of the shaft; and
 a mounting portion formed on another end of the shaft and securely mounted on the installing seat of the club head;
   a buffer element being a compressible and resilient body and having two ends; one of the ends of the buffer element mounted in the cavity of the shaft, an end surface of the other end of the buffer element abutting the inner surface of the face panel; an axis of the shaft and an axis of the buffer element being perpendicular to the inner surface of the face panel.

         2 . The head of a golf club as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a coefficient of restitution of the face panel ranges from 0.88 to 0.89.

         3 . The head of a golf club as claimed in claim 1 , wherein:
 the shaft is a hollow tube; the mounting portion forms:
 outer threads on an outer wall of the mounting portion; and
 a positioning sleeve on an end of the mounting portion and abutting the installing seat; and
   the installing seat has inner threads in the through hole of the installing seat; wherein the mounting portion and the installing seat are threaded to each other via the inner threads of the installing seat and the outer threads of the mounting portion.

         4 . The head of a golf club as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the shaft is a hollow tube and further comprises:
 a receiving seat being a hollow body and mounted into one end of the shaft; the receiving seat having a closed end and an open end, and comprising:
 a positioning sleeve protruding out of an outer annular surface of the open end;
   wherein the cavity of the shaft is formed inward at the open end of the receiving seat, and the buffer element is mounted in the cavity.

         5 . The head of a golf club as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the shaft is a hollow tube and comprises:
 an assembling portion formed on said another end of the shaft, said another end being the end opposite said end of the shaft mounted with the buffer element; and a mounting seat securely mounted on the assembling portion and the installing seat of the club head.

         6 . The head of a golf club as claimed in claim 5 wherein:
 the assembling portion of the shaft has outer threads;
 the mounting seat is a hollow body and has inner threads; the inner threads of the mounting seat are threaded with the outer threads of the assembling portion.

         7 . The head of a golf club as claimed in claim 5 wherein:
 the installing seat has inner threads in the through hole of the installing seat; and
 the mounting seat has outer threads; the outer threads of the mounting seat are threaded with the inner threads of the installing seat.

         8 . The head of a golf club as claimed in claim 1 further comprising:
 a cap having outer threads;
 wherein the shaft has inner threads and thereby the outer threads of the cap are threaded with the inner threads of the shaft.

         9 . The head of a golf club as claimed in claim 6 further comprising:
 a cap having outer threads;
 wherein the outer threads of the cap are threaded with the inner threads of the mounting seat.

         10 . The head of a golf club as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the shaft is a solid body.
