Garments Having Adjustment Components

Abstract

A garment includes a first portion adapted to fit a first portion of a wearer of the garment and a second portion extending from the first portion and adapted to fit a second portion of the wearer of the garment. The garment also includes a first adjustment component disposed within the garment, the first adjustment component being selectively attachable to a portion of the second portion. The garment also includes a first chamber disposed on the first portion, the first chamber being adapted to retain the first adjustment component. The garment also includes a first tab disposed on a first location on the garment and extending from the first adjustment component, the first tab being selectively attachable to the garment. The first adjustment component draws the second portion toward the first portion in response to the first tab being moved away from the first location.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A garment comprising:
 a first portion adapted to fit a first portion of a wearer of the garment;   a second portion extending from the first portion and adapted to fit a second portion of the wearer of the garment;   a first adjustment component disposed within the garment, the first adjustment component being selectively attachable to a portion of the second portion;   a first chamber disposed on the first portion, the first chamber being adapted to retain the first adjustment component; and   a first tab disposed on a first location on the garment and extending from the first adjustment component, the first tab being selectively attachable to the garment,   wherein the first adjustment component draws the second portion toward the first portion in response to the first tab being moved away from the first location.   
     
     
         2 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the second portion is retained behind the first portion by a retainer disposed on a distal end of the first portion and extending around a diameter of the first portion. 
     
     
         3 . The garment of  claim 2 , wherein the first tab includes a first fastener portion and the retainer includes a second fastener portion adapted to mate with the first fastener portion. 
     
     
         4 . The garment of  claim 1 , further comprising a second tab extending from a second adjustment component that is selectively attachable to a portion of the second portion. 
     
     
         5 . The garment of  claim 4 , further comprising a second chamber disposed on the first portion, the second chamber being adapted to retain the second adjustment component. 
     
     
         6 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the first adjustment component includes a draw string. 
     
     
         7 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the first location is disposed on a rear portion of the first portion. 
     
     
         8 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the first adjustment component is selectively detachable from the portion of the second portion. 
     
     
         9 . A garment comprising:
 an upper portion;   a first lower portion extending from the upper portion;   a second lower portion extending from the upper portion;   a first adjustment component disposed within the garment, the first adjustment component being selectively attachable to a portion of at least one of the first lower portion and the second lower portion;   a first chamber disposed on the upper portion, the first chamber being adapted to retain the first adjustment component; and   a first tab disposed on a first location on the garment and extending from the first adjustment component, the first tab being is selectively attachable to a first portion of the garment,   wherein the first adjustment component draws at least one of the first lower portion and the second lower portion toward the upper portion in response to the first tab being moved away from the first location.   
     
     
         10 . The garment of  claim 9 , further comprising a second tab extending from a second adjustment component that is selectively attachable to a portion of the other of the first lower portion and the second lower portion. 
     
     
         11 . The garment of  claim 10 , further comprising a second chamber disposed on the upper portion, the second chamber being adapted to retain the second adjustment component. 
     
     
         12 . The garment of  claim 9 , wherein the first tab includes a first fastener portion and the garment includes a second fastener portion adapted to mate with the first fastener portion. 
     
     
         13 . The garment of  claim 9 , further comprising one or more first anchor portions disposed on the first lower portion and one or more second anchor portions disposed on the second lower portion. 
     
     
         14 . The garment of  claim 13 , wherein the first adjustment component is selectively attachable to a respective one of the one or more first anchor portions and the one or more second anchor portions. 
     
     
         15 . The garment of  claim 9  wherein the first adjustment component includes a plurality of draw strings. 
     
     
         16 . The garment of  claim 9 , wherein the first location is disposed on a side portion of the upper portion. 
     
     
         17 . The garment of  claim 9 , wherein the first location is disposed at a top of a front portion of the upper portion. 
     
     
         18 . A system comprising:
 a first garment adapted to fit an upper portion of a wearer of the first garment, the first garment including:
 a first portion; 
 a second portion extending from the first portion; 
 a first chamber disposed on the first portion, the first chamber being adapted to retain a first adjustment component that is selectively attachable to the second portion; and 
   a second garment adapted to fit a lower portion of the wearer of the second garment, the second garment includes:
 a third portion; 
 a fourth portion extending from the third portion; 
 a fifth portion extending from the third portion; and 
 a second chamber disposed on the third portion, the second chamber being adapted to retain a second adjustment component that is selectively attachable to a respective one of the fourth portion and the fifth portion. 
   
     
     
         19 . The system of  claim 18 , further comprising a first tab disposed on a rear portion of the first garment and a second tab disposed on the rear portion of the first garment adjacent to the first tab. 
     
     
         20 . The system of  claim 18 , further comprising a third tab disposed on a first side of the second garment and a fourth tab disposed on a second side of the second garment that is opposite the first side.
