Abstract

A dental implant device in the form of an interface member for forming an individually customized dental implant abutment mounted on a connection platform of a dental implant anchor adapted to be implanted, the interface member is a hollow tubular member featuring an internal lumen defined between a non-customizable distal portion and a customizable proximal portion.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A dental implant device in the form of an interface member for forming an individually customized dental implant abutment mounted on a connection platform-of-a dental implant anchor adapted to be implanted, the interface member is a hollow tubular member featuring an internal lumen defined between a non-customizable distal portion and a customizable proximal portion,
 a. the distal portion defining a non-customizable dental implant anchor coupling interface having a surface for matching and fitting with the dental implant anchor's connection platform; b. the proximal portion having tubular an elevated rim configured to be customizable so as to assume a surface, shape, angle and vertical dimension wherein once customized said elevated rim defines a trans-gingival collar of the individually customized dental implant abutment, the upper end thereof defining a shoulder provided for supporting a dental implant restoration or crown.

2 . The device of claim 1 wherein said elevated rim of said interface member has a height of at least 0.5 mm and up to 7 mm.

3 . The device of claim 1 wherein said proximal portion has a diameter that is at least equal to or larger than the diameter of said distal portion.

4 . The device of claim 1 wherein said proximal portion has an internal surface defined along said lumen, wherein said internal surface is contoured.

5 . The device of claim 1 wherein said proximal portion has an internal surface defined along said lumen, wherein said internal surface is a retentive surface.

6 . The device of claim 1 wherein a least a portion of said internal surface of said proximal portion assumes a cylindrical cross sectional profile.

7 . The device of claim 1 wherein at least a portion of said internal surface of said proximal portion features a conical cross sectional profile.

8 . The device of claim 1 wherein at least a portion of said internal surface of said proximal portion features threading.

9 . The device of claim 1 wherein said proximal portion has an external surface having a cross-sectional profile selected from conical, cylindrical, bell shaped, parabolic.

10 . The device of claim 1 wherein at least a portion of said external surface of said proximal portion features a polygonal configuration.

11 . The device of claim 1 wherein at least a portion of said an internal surface of said proximal portion features a polygonal configuration.

12 . The device of claim 1 wherein said interface member is made of biocompatible materials selected from the group consisting of plastics, carbon fiber, fiberglass, acrylics, polymers, antibacterial metals or alloys thereof, titanium, titanium alloy, tantalum, tantalum alloy, zirconium, or any combination thereof.
