Abstract

A garment removal apparatus and method of using the apparatus to remove a garment from the upper body. The garment removal apparatus may include one or more cables and one or more clips attached depending from an attachment mechanism. With one or more clips secured to the upper body garment, the user moves away from attachment mechanism and may progressively remove the garment from the user.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An apparatus for removing a garment from the upper body comprising:
an attachment mechanism; at least one elongated cable having opposing free ends, wherein said at least one cable is coupled between said opposing free ends to said attachment mechanism; a first clip attached to one said opposing free end of said at least one cable and a second clip attached to the other said opposing free end of said at least one cable; each said first clip and said second clip is capable of releasably securing adjacent to the garment waist, wherein the garment does not pull from said first clip and said second clip until released by the user; and wherein each portion of said at least one cable extending from the attachment mechanism to said first clip and said second clip, respectively, is separately adjustable in length relative to said attachment mechanism.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said at least one cable, said first clip, and said second clip pivots relative to said attachment mechanism.

3 . The apparatus of claim 2 wherein each said portion of said at least one cable extending from said attachment mechanism to said first clip and said second clip, respectively, changes angles relative to each other said portion of said at least one cable.

         4 . (canceled)

         5 . (canceled)

6 . An apparatus for removing a garment from the upper body comprising:
one or more attachment mechanisms; a first clip and a second clip; a first cable, wherein said first cable is coupled between said first clip and said one or more attachment mechanisms; a second cable, wherein said second cable is coupled between said second clip and said one or more attachment mechanisms; each said first clip and said second clip is capable of releasably securing adjacent to a garment waist, wherein the garment does not pull from said first clip and said second clip until released by the user; and said first cable and said second cable are separately adjustable in length.

7 . The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said first cable, said first clip, said second cable, and said second clip pivots relative to said one or more attachment mechanisms.

8 . The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said first cable extending from said one or more attachment mechanisms to said first clip changes angles relative to said second cable extending from said one or more attachment mechanisms to said second clip.

         9 . (canceled)

         10 . (canceled)

11 . The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said one or more attachment mechanisms are adjustable in length.

12 . The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said one or more attachment mechanisms include a first portion and a second portion.

13 . The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said one or more attachment mechanisms includes opposing hooks, wherein one of said opposing hooks attach to at least one of said first cable and said second cable.

14 . The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said one or more attachment mechanisms include one or more fasteners.

15 . The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said one or more attachment mechanisms are attached to an object at a height above a chest of a user.

16 . The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said first cable and said second cable are a continuous cable.

17 . An apparatus for removing a garment from the upper body comprising:
one or more attachment mechanisms, wherein said one or more attachment mechanisms is a door hook, said door hook includes a first hook and a second hook inverted relative to said first hook, and said first hook is configured to attached to an upper edge of a door; a first clip and a second clip; a first cable, wherein said first cable is coupled between said first clip and said second hook of said one or more attachment mechanisms; a second cable, wherein said second cable is coupled between said second clip and said second hook of said one or more attachment mechanisms; each said first clip and said second clip is capable of releasably securing adjacent to a garment waist; and wherein said first cable and said first clip pivots relative to said one or more attachment mechanisms and said second cable and said second clip pivots relative to said one or more attachment mechanisms.

18 . The apparatus of claim 17 wherein said first cable and said first clip pivots separately from said second cable and said second clip.

19 . The apparatus of claim 17 wherein an overall length of said apparatus is adjustable in length.

20 . The apparatus of claim 17 wherein a length of said first cable and said second cable between said one or more attachment mechanisms and said first clip and said second clip, respectively, are separately adjustable.
