Abstract

A device in the form of a container is disclosed which obscures and/or misdirects another person from recognizing the device contains potable fluid. The device is generally constructed with the size and shape and appearance of a tampon within a tampon wrapper. The device includes a sealable/re-sealable vessel with a cap, and a wrapper constructed and printed to appear like a tampon wrapper.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An apparatus for containing and dispensing potable fluid, the apparatus consisting essentially of:
a single vessel for containing said fluid, said vessel including, a generally tubular body with an approximate length between 3″ and 6″ and with an approximate diameter between ¼″ and 1″, and
a cap for sealingly engaging with said body; and
a wrapper for covering said vessel wherein said wrapper is formed of a strip of plastic having strip edges, the wrapper including at least two closed sides formed by connecting the strip edges to form a pocket with an opening into which only the single vessel is received.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said vessel has the shape of a test tube.

3 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said cap includes a portion removably receivable within an open end of said body.

4 . The apparatus of claim 3 wherein said cap includes a head portion for defining the extent of receipt of said portion within said open end of said body.

5 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said cap includes a portion removably receivable within an open end of said body, said portion including a seal structure for engaging and sealing with an interior surface of said body.

6 . The apparatus of claim 5 wherein said seal structure includes a plurality of radially extending seals of elastically deformable material, said seals being sized to be in compression by and against said interior surface.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the cap has a diameter between ¼″ and 1″.

8 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said wrapper has printed thereon a textual statement of “tampon.”

9 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said wrapper has printed thereon an indication that the apparatus is a tampon.

10 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said wrapper includes an opening for insertion and removal of said vessel, and a sealable/resealable portion proximate the wrapper opening for closing and opening of said wrapper with the vessel therein.

11 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said wrapper includes an opening for insertion and removal of said vessel, and said wrapper includes a flap proximate the wrapper opening, said flap permitting insertion and removal of the vessel, wherein the flap includes a sealable/resealable portion proximate the wrapper opening for closing and opening of said wrapper with the vessel therein.

12 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the wrapper includes three closed sides and an open end for insertion and removal of the vessel wherein the wrapper is defined by said strip of plastic folded to form a first closed side of the three closed sides and by securing said strip edges to form second and third sides of the three closed sides.

13 . A device for disguising pourable fluid contents, the device consisting of:
an elongate tubular body having a size including a length between 3″ and 6″ and a diameter between ¼″ and 1″ such that said size corresponds to commercially available tampon products; a cap removably and sealingly engagable with the tubular body; and a wrapper for receiving said body and cap therein, wherein said wrapper is formed of a strip of plastic having strip edges, the wrapper including exactly three closed sides formed by connecting the strip edges to form a pocket with an opening along a top side into which only the single vessel is received, wherein said tubular body permits receiving and dispensing of pourable fluid of up to 100 centipoise at ambient temperatures when said cap is removed.

14 . The device of claim 13 wherein said tubular body permits receiving and dispensing of pourable fluid of up to 20 centipoise at ambient temperatures.

15 . The device of claim 13 wherein the wrapper is resealably closeable.

16 . The device of claim 15 wherein the wrapper defines an interior space with an opening thereto, said wrapper opening permitting a user to insert the tubular body and the cap into said interior space, and wherein the wrapper includes a portion proximate said wrapper opening to close resealably said opening when said tubular body and cap are received in said interior space.

17 . An apparatus consisting essentially of:
a tampon wrapper formed elongate to define a generally tubular pocket therein with an opening at one end and an extended flap proximate said one end, said flap having an adhesive securement to re-sealably close said pocket; a single vessel having a generally tubular body with an approximate length between 3″ and 6″ and with an approximate diameter between ¼″ and 1″; and a cap for sealingly engaging with said body, wherein said vessel with said cap sealingly engaged thereon are insertable and removable from said tampon wrapper, and wherein said securement re-sealably closes said pocket with said vessel and cap located within said tampon wrapper.

18 . The apparatus of claim 17 wherein the exterior of the wrapper has a disguised appearance such that indicia of a conventional tampon including the text “tampon” is displayed thereon.

19 . The apparatus of claim 17 wherein said tampon wrapper is formed of a material sheet folded over itself to form a fold defining a closed end of said wrapper, and wherein said sheet is connected to itself along two edges, said closed end and two edges thus defining said pocket within said tampon wrapper.

20 . The apparatus of claim 19 wherein said sheet is plastic, and said securement adheres to the exterior of said wrapper.
