Abstract

A system includes an image capture device and an assessment computing device. The image capture device is configured to capture an image of an object and a first score associated with the object on a first scale. The assessment computing device is configured to receive the image of the object and the first score from the image capture device, and to receive a second score on a second scale that is different from the first scale from a third party assessment source computing device. The assessment computing device is also configured to normalize the second score to a particular scale to provide a normalized second score, and to determine a level of mastery based at least partially on the first score and the normalized second score. The assessment computing device is configured to generate a user interface with information indicating the level of mastery.

         2 . The system of claim 1 ,
wherein the assessment computing device is configured to select a color from among a plurality of colors for use in the at least one progress bar based on the calculated score to indicate the proficiency level.

         3 . The system of claim 1 ,
wherein the assessment computing device is configured to select a shade of a color from among a plurality of shades of the color for use in the at least one progress bar based on the calculated score to indicate the proficiency level.

         4 . The system of claim 1 ,
wherein the assessment computing device is configured to set a bar pattern in the at least one progress bar based on the calculated score to indicate the proficiency level.

         5 . The system of claim 1 ,
wherein said more detail of the proficiency of the individual in the particular domain provided in response to selection of the at least one progress bar includes a summary of a progress of the individual for one or more standards in the particular domain.

         6 . The system of claim 1 ,
wherein the assessment computing device is configured such that upon selection of the at least one progress bar, the assessment computing device provides an override link for display that is selectable to allow a user to override one or more scores for the individual.

         7 . The system of claim 1 ,
wherein the assessment computing device is configured to assign weights to the normalized first score and the normalized second score for calculating the calculated score such that the more recent of the normalized first score and the normalized second score is weighted more heavily in the calculation of the calculated score.

         8 . The system of claim 1 ,
wherein the assessment computing device is configured to provide an export button in the progression screen for causing the assessment computing device to generate a summary report of progress of the individual.

         9 . The system of claim 8 ,
wherein the assessment computing device is configured to generate the summary report to include a link to the progression screen of the user interface.

10 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
one or more recording devices for capturing video from a learning environment, and for providing one or more files with the captured video to the assessment computing device; and a trigger device that is configured to supply a trigger signal to the assessment computing device in response to an action of a user; wherein the assessment computing device is further configured to flag a locationin the one or more tiles based on a time associated with the trigger signal.

         11 . A method, comprising:
receiving, by an assessment computing device over a network, a first score on a first scale from a third party assessment source computing device and a second score on a second scale that is different from the first scale from another third party assessment source computing device; normalizing, by the assessment computing device, the first score to a particular scale to provide a normalized first score and the second score to the particular scale to provide a normalized second score; calculating, by the assessment computing device, a calculated score based at least partially on the normalized first score and the normalized second score; generating, by the assessment computing device, screens of a user interface including a progression screen accessible through a menu, wherein the progression screen of the user interface is generated to include at least one progress bar to indicate a proficiency of an individual in a particular domain and that is selectable to cause the assessment computing device to provide more detail of the proficiency of the individual in the particular domain; and setting, by the assessment computing device, a proficiency level for display in the at least one progress bar based on the calculated score.

12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
selecting, by the assessment computing device, a color from among a plurality of colors for use in the at least one progress bar based on the calculated score to indicate the proficiency level.

13 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
selecting, by the assessment computing device, a shade of a color from among a plurality , of shades of the color for use in the at least one progress bar based on the calculated score to indicate the proficiency level.
