Decorative button attachment device

Abstract

A decorative button attachment device includes a generally T-shaped frame that is in communication with the main body having a decorative element along the front surface and having a pair of elongated posts that extend outward from the back surface. The pair of elongated posts include a shape, size and separation distance that is complementary to the known shape, size and separation distance of the apertures of a clothing button to be removably secured therein. A fastener having a pair of openings engages the distal ends of the posts and secures the device to the button.

1 . A device for securement to a button having a plurality of apertures, said device comprising:
 a frame having a front surface and a back surface;   a pair of elongated posts that extend outward from the back surface of the frame, each of the elongated posts including a shape and size that is suitable for being positioned within one of a plurality of apertures of a button;   a main body that is disposed along the front surface of the frame; and   a fastener that is configured to engage a distal end of each of the at least two elongated posts.   
     
     
         2 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the pair of posts include a separation distance that is complementary to a separation distance of two of the plurality of apertures on the button. 
     
     
         3 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the fastener includes a main body portion and a pair of openings for receiving the pair of elongated posts. 
     
     
         4 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein each of the pair of elongated posts include at least one notch that is configured to be engaged by the fastener. 
     
     
         5 . The device of  claim 4 , wherein the fastener comprises a clutch-style clasp that is configured to removably engage the at least one notch on each of the elongated posts. 
     
     
         6 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the main body includes at least one decorative element disposed thereon. 
     
     
         7 . The device of  claim 6 , wherein the decorative element includes, at least one of a marking, a word, a shape, a symbol, a logo, a pattern or an image. 
     
     
         8 . The device of  claim 6 , wherein the decorative element includes an orientation-dependent marking. 
     
     
         9 . The device of  claim 6 , wherein the main body comprises a piece of jewelry. 
     
     
         10 . The device of  claim 6 , wherein the decorative element includes a piece of jewelry.
