Abstract

A system, method and one or more wireless earpieces for calibrating one or more wireless earpieces. An indication the calibration of the one or more wireless earpieces is required is received. Sensors of the one or more wireless earpieces are calibrated in response to receiving the indication. Calibration information is analyzed. A determination is made whether the calibration is successful utilizing the calibration information.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method for calibrating one or more wireless earpieces while worn by a user, the method comprising steps of:
receiving an indication that calibration of the one or more wireless earpieces is required while the user is wearing the one or more wireless earpieces; calibrating sensors of the one or more wireless earpieces in response to receiving the indication, wherein the sensors include the one or more accelerometers and the one or more gyrometers; analyzing calibration data collected during the step of calibrating the sensors of the one or more wireless earpieces; determining whether the calibration is successful utilizing the calibration data to set a threshold; and reporting to the user, a successful calibration if the calibration was successful, and recording the successful calibration in a memory located within the one or more wireless earpieces; reporting to the user, an unsuccessful calibration if the calibration was unsuccessful; and adjusting the calibration process if the calibration was unsuccessful.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising the step of directing the user of the one or more wireless earpieces to perform motions for use in calibration, wherein the directing is performed by the one or more wireless earpieces.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the indication is received from a wireless device associated with the one or more wireless earpieces.

4 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising the step of acquiring inertial data at the one or more wireless earpieces during the motions from one or more accelerometers and one or more gyrometers.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
identifying a user wearing the one or more wireless earpieces utilizing one or more biometric identifiers.

6 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the calibrating is performed utilizing information associated with the user.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the biometric identifiers include one or more of voice characteristics, ear topography, and skin conductivity.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more wireless earpieces are a pair of wireless earpieces.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the indication is self-determined by the one or more wireless earpieces in response to one or more of a setup process being initiated, and power up process being initiated, one or more thresholds being met, and a detected event.

10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the calibrating further comprises:
detecting one or more aberrations of sensor measurements as compared against baseline measurements of a user wearing the one or more wireless earpieces.

11 . A method for calibrating one or more wireless earpieces while worn by a user, the method comprising steps of:
receiving an indication that calibration of the one or more wireless earpieces is required while the user is wearing the one or more wireless earpieces; calibrating sensors of the one or more wireless earpieces in response to receiving the indication, wherein the sensors include the one or more accelerometers and the one or more gyrometers; analyzing calibration data collected during the step of calibrating the sensors of the one or more wireless earpieces; determining whether the calibration is successful utilizing the calibration data to set a threshold; and reporting to the user, a successful calibration if the calibration was successful; reporting to the user, an unsuccessful calibration if the calibration was unsuccessful; and adjusting the calibration process if the calibration was unsuccessful.

12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising the step of directing the user of the one or more wireless earpieces to perform motions for use in calibration, wherein the directing is performed by the one or more wireless earpieces.

13 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising the step of acquiring inertial data at the one or more wireless earpieces during the motions from one or more accelerometers and one or more gyrometers.

14 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
identifying a user wearing the one or more wireless earpieces utilizing one or more biometric identifiers.

15 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the successful calibration is logged into a memory within the one or more wireless earpieces.

16 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the successful calibration is sent to a wireless device in communication with the one or more wireless earpieces.

17 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising the step of generating an alert if it is reported the calibration was unsuccessful.

18 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising the step of troubleshooting the one or more wireless earpieces if the calibration was unsuccessful.

19 . The method of claim 18 , further comprising the step of resetting at least one sensor within the one or more wireless earpieces.

20 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising the step of verifying the identity of the user as part of troubleshooting why the calibration was unsuccessful.
