Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure can comprise systems and devices for improving a player's tennis swing timing. In some embodiment, the systems and devices can comprise a first band and a second band. The first band can include a first adherent component, and the second band can include a second adherent component. The second adherent component can detachably attach to the first adherent component.

1 . A tennis training device comprising:
a first band configured to be worn on an upper arm of a user, the first band including a first adherent component; and a second band configured to be worn on a torso of the user, the second band including a second adherent component configured to detachably attach to the first adherent component.
2 . The tennis training device of claim 1 , wherein the first band is further configured to substantially align with the second adherent component when the upper arm is at a predetermined position with respect to the torso.
3 . The tennis training device of claim 1 further comprising an insert disposed between the second adherent component and the torso, wherein the second band is further configured to receive at least a portion of the insert.
4 . The tennis training device of claim 3 , wherein the insert comprises foam.
5 . The tennis training device of claim 4 , wherein the foam includes at least one of high-density foam, polyethylene foam, closed-cell polyethylene foam, soft plastics, and beading.
6 . The tennis training device of claim 4 , wherein, when the first and second adherent components are connected, a connective force between the first and second adherent components is of sufficient strength to maintain a connected state to guide the user during preparation for a tennis groundstroke and to transition from the connected state to an unconnected state when the user begins to execute the tennis groundstroke.
7 . The tennis training device of claim 1 , wherein the first and second adherent components collectively comprise a pair of magnets, a pair of snaps, or a hook and loop fastener.
8 . The tennis training device of claim 7 , wherein the first and second adherent components are configured to provide auditory feedback to the user upon detachment of the first adherent component from the second adherent component.
9 . A tennis swing training device for guiding a wearer into a proper motion for preparing for a groundstroke, the device comprising:
a first band adapted to be worn on an upper portion of the wearer's first arm, the first band including a first magnet; and a second band adapted to be worn on the wearer's torso, the second band including a second magnet and an insert configured to position the second magnet a distance from the wearer's torso, wherein the first and second magnets are configured to be in a connected state while the wearer is preparing to deliver the groundstroke and are configured to transition from the connected state to an unconnected state as the wearer delivers the groundstroke.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
