Claims

Abstract

A piperidine compound represented by a general formula (I) or a salt thereof: wherein, R 1 represents a carboxyl group, —C(═O)NR 5 R 6 , or an oxadiazolyl group optionally having a C 1 -C 6 alkyl group or a trifluoromethyl group as a substituent; R 2 represents a halogen atom or a C 1 -C 6 alkoxy group; R 3 represents a phenyl group optionally having 1 to 3 same or different group(s) selected from a halogen atom, a C 1 -C 6 alkyl group, a C 1 -C 6 alkoxy group, and a trifluoromethyl group as a substituent; R 4 represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1 -C 6 alkyl group; and R 5 and R 6 are the same or different and each represent a hydrogen atom, a C 1 -C 6 alkyl group, or a C 3 -C 6 cycloalkyl group, or R 5 and R 6 optionally form a 3 to 6-membered nitrogen-containing saturated heterocyclic group together with a nitrogen atom to which R 5 and R 6 are bound, are provided.

         2 . A method for potentiating an anti-tumor effect of a microtubule-targeting agent, comprising:
 administering an effective dose of a piperidine compound of formula (I) or a salt thereof:   
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         wherein R 1  is a carboxyl group, —C(═O)NR 5 R 6 , or an oxadiazolyl group optionally having a C 1 -C 6  alkyl group or a trifluoromethyl group as a substituent; 
         R 2  is a halogen atom or a C 1 -C 6  alkoxy group; 
         R 3  is a phenyl group optionally having 1 to 3 same or different group(s) selected from the group consisting of a halogen atom, a C 1 -C 6  alkyl group, a C 1 -C 6  alkoxy group, and a trifluoromethyl group as a substituent; 
         R 4  is a hydrogen atom or a C 1 -C 6  alkyl group; 
         R 5  and R 6  are the same or different and are each independently a hydrogen atom, a C 1 -C 6  alkyl group, or a C 3 -C 6  cycloalkyl group, or R 5  and R 6  optionally form a 3 to 6-membered nitrogen-containing saturated heterocyclic group together with a nitrogen atom to which R 5  and R 6  are bound. 
       
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein the anti-tumor effect is potentiated on cancer which is one of head and neck cancer, esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, duodenal cancer, colon cancer, rectal cancer, liver cancer, gallbladder and bile duct cancer, biliary tract cancer, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, ovary cancer, uterine cervical cancer, uterine cancer, renal cancer, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, bone and soft tissue sarcoma, hematologic cancer, multiple myeloma, skin cancer, brain tumor, mesothelioma, and hematologic cancer. 
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein the anti-tumor effect is potentiated on cancer which is one of hematologic cancer, uterine cervical cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, ovary cancer, lung cancer, and colon cancer. 
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein the microtubule-targeting agent is a taxane anticancer agent. 
     
     
         6 . The method according to  claim 5 , wherein the taxane anticancer agent comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of paclitaxel, docetaxel, and cabazitaxel. 
     
     
         7 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein the administering is performed such that a molar ratio of the microtubule-targeting agent and the compound of the formula (I) or a salt thereof is from 0.01 to 100. 
     
     
         8 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein the administering is performed such that a molar ratio of the microtubule-targeting agent and the compound of the formula (I) or a salt thereof is from 0.05 to 50. 
     
     
         9 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein the administering is performed such that a molar ratio of the microtubule-targeting agent and the compound of the formula (I) or a salt thereof is from 0.1 to 20. 
     
     
         10 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein the piperidine compound of formula (I) is one of

         11 . A method for treating cancer, comprising:
 administering an effective dose of a piperidine compound of formula (I) or a salt thereof and an effective dose of a microtubule-targeting agent:   
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         wherein R 1  is a carboxyl group, —C(═O)NR 5 R 6 , or an oxadiazolyl group optionally having a C 1 -C 6  alkyl group or a trifluoromethyl group as a substituent; 
         R 2  is a halogen atom or a C 1 -C 6  alkoxy group; 
         R 3  is a phenyl group optionally having 1 to 3 same or different group(s) selected from the group consisting of a halogen atom, a C 1 -C 6  alkyl group, a C 1 -C 6  alkoxy group, and a trifluoromethyl group as a substituent; 
         R 4  is a hydrogen atom or a C 1 -C 6  alkyl group; 
         R 5  and R 6  are the same or different and are each independently a hydrogen atom, a C 1 -C 6  alkyl group, or a C 3 -C 6  cycloalkyl group, or R 5  and R 6  optionally form a 3 to 6-membered nitrogen-containing saturated heterocyclic group together with a nitrogen atom to which R 5  and R 6  are bound. 
       
     
     
         12 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the cancer is one of head and neck cancer, esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, duodenal cancer, colon cancer, rectal cancer, liver cancer, gallbladder and bile duct cancer, biliary tract cancer, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, ovary cancer, uterine cervical cancer, uterine cancer, renal cancer, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, bone and soft tissue sarcoma, hematologic cancer, multiple myeloma, skin cancer, brain tumor, mesothelioma, and hematologic cancer. 
     
     
         13 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the cancer is one of hematologic cancer, uterine cervical cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, ovary cancer, lung cancer, and colon cancer. 
     
     
         14 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the microtubule-targeting agent is a taxane anticancer agent. 
     
     
         15 . The method according to  claim 14 , wherein the taxane anticancer agent comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of paclitaxel, docetaxel, and cabazitaxel. 
     
     
         16 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the administering is performed such that a molar ratio of the microtubule-targeting agent and the compound of the formula (I) or a salt thereof is from 0.01 to 100. 
     
     
         17 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the administering is performed such that a molar ratio of the microtubule-targeting agent and the compound of the formula (I) or a salt thereof is from 0.05 to 50. 
     
     
         18 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the administering is performed such that a molar ratio of the microtubule-targeting agent and the compound of the formula (I) or a salt thereof is from 0.1 to 20. 
     
     
         19 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the piperidine compound of formula (I) is one of
