Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

. A method for treating hyperhidrosis and/or for inhibiting perspiration and/or
apocrine sweating, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a substituted benzamide.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein said substituted benzamide is selected from the group consisting of sulpiride, metoclopramide, tiapride and sultopride.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein said administering is effected by oral or buccal administration.

. The method of claim 3 , being for treating hyperhidrosis.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein said administering is effected by topical administration of a composition comprising said substituted benzamide and a dermatologically acceptable excipient or carrier.

. The method according to claim 5 , wherein the composition is in a form selected from the group consisting of an aqueous solution, a non-aqueous solution, lotion, cream, gel, oil, ointment, foam, mousse, spray, an emulsion, a shampoo, soap and microemulsion.

. The method according to claim 5 , comprising applying said composition to the hands, feet including soles, face, scalp, neck, trunk, back, limbs, axillae and/or groin of the subject.

. A method for treating hyperhidrosis and/or for inhibiting perspiration and/or apocrine sweating, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of sulpiride.

. The method of claim 8 , wherein said administering is effected by oral or buccal administration.

. The method of claim 9 , being for treating hyperhidrosis.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein said therapeutically effective amount is in a range of from 10 mg per day to 1000 mg per day.

. The method of claim 11 , wherein said therapeutically effective amount is in a range of from 100 mg per day to 600 mg per day.

. The method of claim 8 , wherein said administering is effected by topical administration of a composition comprising sulpiride and a dermatologically acceptable excipient or carrier.

. The method of claim 13 , wherein a concentration of sulpiride in said composition is in a range of from 0.01 to 5%, (w/v).

. The method according to claim 13 , wherein the composition is in a form selected from the group consisting of an aqueous solution, a non-aqueous solution, lotion, cream, gel, oil, ointment, foam, mousse, spray, an emulsion, a shampoo, soap and microemulsion.

. The method according to claim 15 , wherein the composition is a gel or foam.

. The method according to claim 16 , wherein said gel comprises aloe vera extract or aloe vera gel.

. The method according to claim 13 , comprising applying said composition to the hands, feet including soles, face, scalp, neck, trunk, back, limbs, axillae and/or groin of the subject.

. The method according to claim 13 , wherein the composition does not include a permeation enhancer.

. The method according to claim 13 , wherein said therapeutically effective amount of said sulpiride is comprised by an article selected from the group consisting of a garment, footwear and headgear.
