System and method for distribution of picture objects
Abstract
A method and system for data communication is provided and may include, at a communications terminal, displaying picture objects and/or video objects received from a media center via a communications network. The communications terminal may transmit direction of view information (DoV) of at least one eye of a user of the terminal with respect to the displayed objects from an eye tracker at the communications terminal. The DoV may be determined by detecting a position of a pupil based on light reflected off of the pupil. Subsequent picture objects and/or video objects may be displayed by the communications terminal based on user interests determined from the transmitted DoV information.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A system for communications, the system comprising
a display unit operable to display visual information to a user according to a level of interest in a location; a retinal scanner operable to determine a direction of view of at least one eye of the user with respect to the display unit by detecting a position of a pupil; a detector operable to measure a duration and a frequency with which the location is viewed by the user, wherein the location is considered viewed based on the direction of view of the at least one eye of the user, and wherein the level of interest in the location is based on a duration of time the location is viewed and a frequency with which the location is viewed; and a control unit operable to capture a visual object at the location according the level of interest in the location.
22 . The system according to claim 21 , wherein the system is operable to transmit the direction of view information to a media center.
23 . The system according to claim 21 , wherein the detector is operable to identify the user.
24 . The system according to claim 21 , wherein the system comprises a speaker operable to send audio information the user according to the level of interest in the location.
25 . The system according to claim 21 , wherein the location is associated with the visual object.
26 . The system according to claim 25 , wherein an identification of the visual object determines the visual information.
27 . The system according to claim 21 , wherein the retinal scanner is operable to communicate wirelessly with the detector.
28 . The system according to claim 21 , wherein the control unit is operable to communicate wirelessly with the detector.
29 . A system for communication, the system comprising:
a retinal scanner operable to determine a direction of view of a user by detecting a position of a pupil; a position detector operable to determine a head position of the user, the head position being determined as a horizontal angle and a vertical angle relative to another body part of the user; a control unit operable to determine a level of interest, wherein the level of interest is determined according to a change in the direction of view of the user and a change in the head position of the user; and a communication device operable to capture a visual object at the location according the level of interest in the location, and wherein the communication device is operable to send audio and visual information to the user according to the level of interest.
30 . The system according to claim 29 , wherein the control unit is operable to transmit the direction of view information to a media center.
31 . The system according to claim 29 , wherein the detector is operable to identify the user.
32 . The system according to claim 29 , wherein the level of interest is associated with a location.
33 . The system according to claim 29 , wherein the level of interest is associated with the visual object.
34 . The system according to claim 33 , wherein an identification of the visual object determines the audio and visual information.
35 . The system according to claim 29 , wherein the retinal scanner is operable to communicate wirelessly with the position detector.
36 . The system according to claim 29 , wherein the control unit is operable to communicate wirelessly with the position detector and the retinal scanner.
37 . A system for wireless communication, the system comprising:
a communication device operable to display visual information associated with a command; a retinal scanner operable to determine a direction of view of a user of a mobile device by detecting a position of a pupil; a detector operable to measure a duration and a frequency with which a visual object is viewed by a user, wherein the visual object is considered viewed based on a location of the visual object with respect to the direction of view of at least one eye of the user; and a control unit operable to select the command according to the duration and the frequency with which the visual object is viewed by the user.
38 . The system according to claim 37 , wherein the control unit is operable to transmit the duration and the frequency with which the visual object is viewed to a media center.
39 . The system according to claim 37 , wherein the retinal scanner is operable to identify the user.
40 . The system according to claim 37 , wherein the control unit is operable to communicate wirelessly with the detector.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
