Abstract

This disclosure describes systems and methods related to authorizing payment transactions using verbal recognition of a customer. In some embodiments, a payment transaction service provider system may receive payment authorization information from a user device. The payment authorization information may include a recording. The payment authorization information may be authenticated based at least in part on the recording. A payment credential may be communicated in response to authenticating the payment authorization information.

         8 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:
communicating, by a user device comprising one or more processors, order information for a proposed payment transaction, wherein the order information is based at least in part on an indication from a user for one or more items to purchase; communicating, by the user device to a payment transaction service provider system, payment authorization information, wherein the payment authorization information comprises a recording; receiving, by the user device from a payment transaction service provider system, a payment credential for the proposed payment transaction; and communicating, by the user device, the payment credential to a merchant.

9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the recording comprises a recording of a name or an authorization phrase.

         10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , further comprising:
capturing, by the user device, the recording, wherein the recording comprises a verbal command from the user; and validating, by the user device, the verbal command.

         11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , further comprising
receiving, by the user device, a purchasing incentive associated with the payment credential based at least in part on a merchant authorizing the purchasing incentive.

         12 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , further comprising:
receiving, by the user device, an electronic receipt from the merchant.

         13 - 19 . (canceled)

20 . One or more computer-readable media comprising computer-executable instructions that in response to execution by one or more processors, configures the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
communicating order information for a proposed payment transaction, wherein the order information is based at least in part on an indication from a user for one or more items to purchase; communicating payment authorization information, wherein the payment authorization information comprises a recording; receiving, from a payment transaction service provider system, a payment credential for the proposed payment transaction; and communicating the payment credential to a merchant.

21 . The one or more computer-readable media of claim 20 , wherein the recording comprises a recording of a name or an authorization phrase.

22 . The one or more computer-readable media of claim 20 , the operations further comprising:
capturing the recording, wherein the recording comprises a verbal command from the user; and validating the verbal command.

23 . The one or more computer-readable media of claim 20 , the operations further comprising
receiving a purchasing incentive associated with the payment credential based at least in part on a merchant authorizing the purchasing incentive.

24 . The one or more computer-readable media of claim 20 , the operations further comprising:
receiving an electronic receipt from the merchant.
