Multiple Frame Distributed Rendering of Interactive Content
Abstract
Techniques for multiple frame distributed rendering of interactive content are described. In implementations, interactive content includes various types of visual content, such as video games, interactive videos, interactive applications, and so forth. Interactive content includes scene objects, such as graphical renderings of visual scenery and background images. Interactive content also includes interactive objects, such as avatars and/or other visuals that can be displayed in the context of scene objects and that can be manipulated in response to user input. In at least some embodiments, scene objects can be rendered over multiple frames of interactive content prior to being displayed, and interactive objects can be rendered and displayed more frequently, e.g., with each frame.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A method of updating a rendered scene having an interactive object and a non-interactive object, the method comprising:
rendering the interactive object and the non-interactive object simultaneously on a display; updating display of the interactive object at a first rate, wherein the act of updating the interactive object is based on a user performing physical movements in front of a camera; updating display the non-interactive object at a refresh rate, wherein the first rate is greater than the second rate; and applying visual processing to the non-interactive object.
22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the user performing physical movements in front of the camera is received from the user as part of gameplay of a video game.
23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the non-interactive visual object comprises visual scenery of interactive content.
24 . The method of claim 21 , wherein updating display of the interactive object is performed each frame.
25 . The method of claim 21 , wherein updating display of the non-interactive object is performed every other frame.
26 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the rendered scene comprises at least one of an interactive video or an interaction application.
27 . The method of claim 21 , wherein applying visual processing to the non-interactive object comprises distributing visual processing of the non-interactive object over multiple frames of updating display of the interactive object.
28 . A system, comprising:
at least one processor; and memory having stored thereon computer-readable instructions that are executable by the at least one processor to perform operations comprising updating a rendered scene having an interactive object and a non-interactive object by:
rendering the interactive object and the non-interactive object simultaneously on a display;
updating display of the interactive object at a first rate, wherein the act of updating the interactive object is based on a user performing physical movements in front of a camera;
updating display the non-interactive object at a refresh rate, wherein the first rate is greater than the second rate; and
applying visual processing to the non-interactive object.
29 . The system of claim 28 , wherein the user performing physical movements in front of the camera is received from the user as part of gameplay of a video game.
30 . The system of claim 28 , wherein the non-interactive visual object comprises visual scenery of interactive content.
31 . The system of claim 28 , wherein updating display of the interactive object is performed each frame.
32 . The system of claim 28 , wherein updating display of the non-interactive object is performed every other frame.
33 . The system of claim 28 , wherein the rendered scene comprises at least one of an interactive video or an interaction application.
34 . The system of claim 28 , wherein applying visual processing to the non-interactive object comprises distributing visual processing of the non-interactive object over multiple frames of updating display of the interactive object.
35 . A computer-readable storage medium storing at least one module that is executable via a computing device to cause the computing device to perform operations comprising updating a rendered scene having an interactive object and a non-interactive object by:
rendering the interactive object and the non-interactive object simultaneously on a display; updating display of the interactive object at a first rate, wherein the act of updating the interactive object is based on a user performing physical movements in front of a camera; updating display the non-interactive object at a refresh rate, wherein the first rate is greater than the second rate; and applying visual processing to the non-interactive object.
36 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 35 , wherein the user performing physical movements in front of the camera is received from the user as part of gameplay of a video game.
37 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 35 , wherein the non-interactive visual object comprises visual scenery of interactive content.
38 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 35 , wherein updating display of the interactive object is performed each frame.
39 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 35 , wherein updating display of the non-interactive object is performed every other frame.
40 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 35 , wherein applying visual processing to the non-interactive object comprises distributing visual processing of the non-interactive object over multiple frames of updating display of the interactive object.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
