Shave-cleanser composition

Abstract

Provided are skincare compositions that include a bactericide, one or more surfactants, water, and optionally saturated fatty acid. The composition may include a bactericide, surfactants (e.g., anionic and/or zwitterionic), saturated fatty acid, and no more than about 50 wt % water. Alternatively, the composition may include a bactericide, surfactants (e.g., anionic and/or nonionic), and at least about 50 wt % water. Commonly, the skincare compositions may include benzoyl peroxide and goat milk. The compositions may be used for various applications including cleaning the skin and as a shaving cream.

         7 . A composition comprising:
 a. a bactericide;   b. an anionic surfactant; and   c. at least about 50 wt % water;   wherein the composition is a skincare composition.   
     
     
         8 . The composition of  claim 7 , wherein the bactericide comprises a peroxide. 
     
     
         9 . The composition of  claim 7 , wherein the peroxide comprises benzoyl peroxide. 
     
     
         10 . The composition of  claim 7 , wherein the anionic surfactant comprises a C 12 -C 18  sulfonate salt. 
     
     
         11 . The composition of  claim 10 , wherein the C 12 -C 18  sulfonate salt comprises RCH═CH—SO 3   − Na + , wherein R is C 11 -C 13  alkyl. 
     
     
         12 . The composition of  claim 7 , wherein the composition further comprises one or more of the following: acrylic based polymer; pH adjustor; preservative; a nonionic surfactant; chelating agent; animal milk; humectant; and fragrance. 
     
     
         13 . The composition of  claim 12 , wherein the composition comprises the acrylic based polymer. 
     
     
         14 . The composition of  claim 12 , wherein the composition comprises the nonionic surfactant. 
     
     
         15 . The composition of  claim 12 , wherein the nonionic surfactant comprises a PEG-based nonionic surfactant. 
     
     
         16 . The composition of  claim 12 , wherein the composition comprises the animal milk. 
     
     
         17 . The composition of  claim 7 , wherein the composition comprises:
 a. about 1 to 10 wt % of a bactericide comprising a peroxide;   b. about 5 to 30 wt % of an anionic surfactant comprising C 12 -C 18  sulfonate salt;   c. at least about 50 wt % water;   d. about 0.5 to 10 wt % of an acrylic based copolymer;   e. about 1 to 10 wt % of a pH adjustor comprising a base;   f. about 0.1 to 5 wt % of a preservative comprising phenoxyethanol, benzoic acid, ethylhexylglycerin, or a combination of two or more thereof;   g. about 0.1 to 5 wt % of a nonionic surfactant comprising a PEG-based nonionic surfactant;   h. about 0.01 to 1 wt % of a chelating agent;   i. less than about 0.1 wt % of animal milk;   j. about 0.5 to 5 wt % of a humectant; and   k. 0 to about 5 wt % of fragrance.

         21 . The composition of  claim 9 , wherein the composition comprises about 1 wt % to about 10 wt % of the benzoyl peroxide. 
     
     
         22 . The composition of  claim 21 , wherein the composition comprises goat milk. 
     
     
         23 . The composition of  claim 22 , wherein the composition comprises less than about 0.1 wt % of the goat milk. 
     
     
         24 . The composition of  claim 9 , wherein the composition comprises about 3 wt % to about 7 wt % of the benzoyl peroxide. 
     
     
         25 . The composition of  claim 16 , wherein the composition comprises less than about 0.1 wt % of the animal milk. 
     
     
         26 . The composition of  claim 25 , wherein the animal milk comprises goat milk. 
     
     
         27 . The composition of  claim 16 , wherein the composition comprises less than about 0.1 wt % of the animal milk and the animal milk consists of goat milk. 
     
     
         28 . The composition of  claim 7 , wherein the composition comprises at least about 60 wt % water. 
     
     
         29 . The composition of  claim 7 , wherein the composition is a shaving cream and a skin cleanser.
