Abstract

Systems and methods are provided for displaying account information. The systems and methods may include a status display device connected to a network in a home or office environment. The status display may be configured to provide a constant status indicator, to provide a user with a quick and simple account status, without the need for multi-step login and verification processes. The status display may receive account status information from a server, the account status information excluding sensitive information identifying the user or the account. The status display may provide colored indicators to inform the user of their financial situation while reducing security risks and reducing processing capability requirements, thereby allowing for a simple status display device that can be placed throughout a household or integrated into common household items.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 .- 20 . (canceled)

         21 . A system for providing an account status, comprising:
 a transceiver; a memory; and a processor coupled to the transceiver and configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to:
 receive information for a first account associated with a user;
 determine a status indicator for the first account;
 generate account status information based on at least the status indicator for the first account, the account status information comprising a visual representation that excludes sensitive information that identifies the user; and
 transmit, by the transceiver, the account status information to a display device.

         22 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the information for the first account comprises an account balance, a remaining balance, remaining credit, an individual transaction amount, a payment due date, an overdraft notification, or a fraud notification.

         23 . The system of claim 21 , wherein determining the status indicator for the first account comprises comparing the received information to at least one threshold.

         24 . The system of claim 23 , wherein the at least one threshold is chosen from the group consisting of a spending goal, a spending limit, and an account balance.

         25 . The system of claim 21 , wherein determining the status indicator for the first account comprises determining whether the received information contains a message or an alert.

         26 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to receive information for a second account associated with the user and determine a status indicator for the second account.

         27 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the information for the second account comprises an account balance, a remaining balance, remaining credit, an individual transaction amount, a payment due date, an overdraft notification, or a fraud notification.

         28 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the account status information includes a single status for the first account and the second account, the single status indicating that the status indicator of the first account is more urgent than the status indicator for the second account.

         29 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the account status information includes a single status for the first account and the second account, the single status based on a priority level assigned for each account.

         30 . The system of claim 29 , wherein the priority level is assigned by the user.

         31 . The system of claim 21 , further comprising at least one sensor, wherein the processor is configured to collect data from the at least one sensor and modify the account status information transmitted to the display.

         32 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the at least one sensor comprises a microphone.

         33 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the at least one sensor comprises an ambient light sensor.

         34 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the data collected from the at least one sensor is a fingerprint scan.

         35 . The system of  claim 21 , further comprising an input/output (I/O) device.

         36 . The system of claim 35 , wherein the I/O device can be manipulated by the user to activate or deactivate the system.

         37 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to:
 pair with a mobile device; and receive set-up instructions from the mobile device.

         38 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to send account information to a computing device or a mobile device.

         39 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the visual representation comprises an illuminated color.

         40 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the visual representation comprises an image or a message.
