Abstract

A disposable hairbrush liner and a method of its use are disclosed. A disposable hairbrush liner for use with a hairbrush includes a non-woven cotton sheet and at least one substance applied to the sheet. The non-woven cotton sheet is comprised of cellulose and the substance is the extract from a natural plant.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A disposable hairbrush liner for use with a hairbrush having bristles, said liner comprising:
 a non-woven cotton sheet and at least one substance applied to said sheet.   
     
     
         2 . A liner according to  claim 1 , wherein the non-woven cotton sheet is comprised of cellulose. 
     
     
         3 . A liner according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one substance comprises an extract from a natural plant. 
     
     
         4 . A liner according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one substance is Japanese persimmon extract. 
     
     
         5 . A liner according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one substance is selected from the group consisting of camellia oil, tea tree oil, lavender oil, mint oil, grape fruit oil, or mixture thereof. 
     
     
         6 . A liner according to  claim 3 , wherein the at least one substance comprises the extract selected from the group consisting of rosemary plants, sunflower seeds, raw coffee grains, grape rinds, grape seeds, apple, carrot leaves and tea leaves. 
     
     
         7 . A liner according to  claim 3 , wherein the substance comprises the extract selected from the group consisting of apple, banana, strawberry, apricot, peach, plum, citrus fruit, pineapple, pear, cherry, papaya, mango, avocado, melon, loquat, fig, kiwi, prune, blueberry, black berry, raspberry, cranberry, black currant, mulberry, rosemary, coffee bean, cacao bean, grape seed, grapefruit seed, pecan nut, cashew nut, chestnut, coconut, peanut, walnut, green tea, black tea, oolong tea, tobacco, olive leaves, olive fruit, mugwort, chrysanthemum, perilla leaf, garden thyme, sage, lavender, spearmint, peppermint, blessed thistle, hyssop, basil, marigold, dandelion, aloe, artichoke, German chamomile, agrimony, licorice, anise, yarrow, eucalyptus, wormwood, balm, angelica, fenugreek, paprika, fennel, anise seed, capsicum pepper, cardamom, celery seed, coriander seed, cumin seed, fennel seed, ginger, horseradish, marjoram, oregano, mustard, parsley, pepper, savory, tarragon, sesame, turmeric, wasabi, clove and dill seed, sunflower seed, fresh coffee bean, and mushrooms, or combination thereof. 
     
     
         8 . A liner according to  claim 1 , wherein the cotton sheet further comprises at least one antistatic agent. 
     
     
         9 . A liner according to  claim 8 , wherein the antistatic agent is copolymer of cation monomer dimethyl dialyl ammonium chloride and nonionic monomer acrylamide. 
     
     
         10 . A liner according to  claim 1 , wherein the cotton sheet further comprises at least one anti-microbial agent selected from the group consisting of benzoic acid, sodium benzoate, chlorohexidine, triclosan, quarterly ammonium slats, thymol, and carvacrol, or combination thereof. 
     
     
         11 . A liner according to  claim 1 , wherein the cotton sheet further comprises at least one anti-oxidant agent selected from the group consisting of butylated hydroxytoluene, butylated hydroxyanisole, vitaimin E and vitamin C, or combination thereof. 
     
     
         12 . A liner according to  claim 1 , wherein the cotton sheet further comprises at least one scent-carrying substance selected from the group consisting of camphor, thymol, menthol, eucalyptus, or mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         13 . A liner according to  claim 1 , wherein the substance comprises at least one silicone selected from the group consisting cyclomethicone, dimethicone copolyol, amodimethicone, dimethicone, or mixture thereof. 
     
     
         14 . A liner according to  claim 1 , wherein the sheet is perforated with openings. 
     
     
         15 . A liner according to  claim 14 , wherein the openings are selected from the group consisting of round holes, oval holes, square holes, rhomboidal holes, rectangular holes, triangular holes, slits, and cross cut slits, or combination thereof 
     
     
         16 . A liner according to  claim 14 , wherein the openings are arranged in a concentric pattern. 
     
     
         17 . A liner according to  claim 16 , wherein the pattern is a number of concentric circles, ovals, rectangles, rhomboids, or squares. 
     
     
         18 . A method of using a disposable hairbrush liner with a hairbrush, the method comprising the steps of:
 (i) providing a hairbrush liner comprising a non-woven cotton sheet and at least one substance applied to said sheet,   (ii) placing the liner over a hairbrush having bristles, and   (iii) pressing the liner against the hairbrush bristles to cause the bristles punch through the liner.   
     
     
         19 . A method of manufacturing a disposable hairbrush liner of  claim 1 , the method comprising the steps of
 (i) preparing a mixture of at least one substance in one or more solvents,   (ii) applying said mixture to a non-woven cotton sheet, and   (iii) drying the cotton sheet to evaporate said one or more solvents.   
     
     
         20 . A method according to  claim 19 , wherein applying further comprises spraying.
