Abstract

The present disclosure provides a contamination resistant sensor port which includes one or more sealing members positioned so as to limit and/or prevent internal contamination of the sensor port with fluids and/or particles present in the environment outside the sensor port.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An integrated analyte monitoring system comprising:
an in vivo continuous analyte sensor; and a continuous analyte monitor receiver comprising a sensor port positioned in a housing, the sensor port comprising: a body; an entry slot into the sensor port having a first end and a second end formed in the body, the first end configured to receive an in vitro analyte sensor; and an electrical interface disposed within an internal opening in the body, the electrical interface electrically coupled to the in vitro analyte sensor at the second end when the in vitro analyte sensor is received within the entry slot, and wherein the continuous analyte monitor receiver receives analyte data from the in vivo continuous analyte sensor.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the in vivo continuous analyte sensor is configured to be transcutaneously implantable.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the in vivo continuous analyte sensor is configured to be wholly implantable.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the continuous analyte monitor receiver communicates the analyte data to a user.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the continuous analyte monitor receiver communicates the analyte data to a user audibly.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the continuous analyte monitor receiver communicates the analyte data to a user visually.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the continuous analyte monitor receiver comprises a display.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the in vivo continuous analyte sensor is an in vivo continuous glucose sensor.

9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the continuous analyte monitor receiver is a continuous glucose monitor receiver.

10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the in vitro analyte sensor is a glucose sensor test strip.

11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the housing comprises a top portion and a bottom portion which are joined to form the sensor port.

12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein a substantially fluid-tight seal is provided between the sensor port and the continuous glucose monitor receiver.

13 . An integrated glucose monitoring system comprising:
an in vivo continuous glucose sensor; and a continuous glucose monitor receiver comprising a sensor port positioned in a housing, the sensor port comprising: a body; an entry slot into the sensor port having a first end and a second end formed in the body, the first end configured to receive an in vitro glucose sensor; and an electrical interface disposed within an internal opening in the body, the electrical interface electrically coupled to the in vitro glucose sensor at the second end when the in vitro analyte sensor is received within the entry slot, and wherein the continuous glucose monitor receiver receives glucose data from the in vivo continuous glucose sensor.

14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the in vivo continuous glucose sensor is configured to be transcutaneously implantable.

15 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the in vivo continuous glucose sensor is configured to be wholly implantable.

16 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the continuous glucose monitor receiver communicates the glucose data to a user.

17 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the continuous analyte monitor receiver communicates the glucose data to a user audibly.

18 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the continuous glucose monitor receiver communicates the glucose data to a user visually.

19 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the continuous glucose monitor receiver comprises a display.

20 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the in vitro analyte sensor is a glucose sensor test strip.
