Deployable marine system
Abstract
A deployable marine system for anchoring a vessel in a body of water and to enable a user to ingress into the vessel from the body of water or egress out of the vessel and into the body of water, the deployable marine system includes an anchor-ladder device and a deployment device. The anchor-ladder device includes a first member and one or more steps, the first member including a first end and a second end. The second end is opposite the first end and is associated with an anchoring component that may anchor the vessel. One or more steps may be attached to the first member. The deployment device may be attached to the vessel, connected to the first member in proximity to the first end, and may deploy the anchor-ladder device into, or retract the anchor-ladder device from, the body of water.

1 . A deployable marine system for anchoring a vessel in a body of water and to enable a user to ingress into the vessel from the body of water or egress out of the vessel and into the body of water, the deployable marine system comprising:
an anchor-ladder device that includes a first member and one or more steps, the first member including an anchoring end associated with an anchoring component that is connectable to a bottom of the body of water to anchor the vessel, the one or more steps being attached to the first member and able to support the loads imparted by the user when ingressing into or egressing out of the vessel; a deployment device attached to the vessel and connected to the anchor-ladder device, the deployment device being able to deploy the anchor-ladder device into the body of water or to retract the anchor-ladder device from the body of water.
2 . The deployable marine system of claim 1 , where the anchoring component corresponds to least one of:
a spike, a bit, an anchor, a dome, a textured surface, or a flat surface.
3 . The deployable marine system of claim 1 , further comprising a second member generally parallel with the first member, the second member being attached to the one or more steps.
4 . The anchor-ladder device of claim 1 further including a third member connected to the first member, the third member including a first end, associated with the anchoring end of first member, and a second end, associated with the anchoring component.
5 . The deployable marine system of claim 1 , where the deployment device includes at least one of:
a hydraulic actuator, a pneumatic actuator, an electric actuator, a screw drive, or a hand crank.
6 . A deployable marine system for traversing between an upper surface of a vessel and a lower surface of a vessel, the deployable marine system comprising:
a ladder device including
a first member that includes an anchoring end associated with an anchoring component that contacts the lower surface of the vessel to stabilize the ladder device when ladder device is deployed; and
one or more steps connected to the first member and able to support the loads imparted by the user when the user traverses between the upper surface of the vessel and the lower surface of the vessel:
a deployment device attached to the vessel and connected to the ladder device, the deployment device being able to deploy the ladder device to permit the user to traverse between the upper surface and lower surface and to stow the ladder device.
7 . The deployable marine system of claim 6 , further comprising a second member generally parallel with the first member, the second member being attached to the one or more steps.
8 . The deployable marine system of claim 6 , where the deployment device includes at least one of:
a hydraulic actuator, a pneumatic actuator, an electric actuator, a screw drive, or a hand crank.
9 . The deployable marine system of claim 6 , where the anchoring component includes at least one of:
a dome, a textured surface, or a flat surface.
10 . A method for anchoring a vessel in a body of water and for allowing a user to exit the vessel into the body of water, the method comprising:
providing a deployable marine system including an anchor-ladder device having an anchoring component and one or more steps and a deployment device, the deployment device attached to the vessel and connected to the anchor-ladder device; operating the deployment device to deploy the anchor-ladder device from a stowed position above the body of water to a deployed position in which the anchor-ladder device is deployed into the body of water to connect the anchoring component to a bottom of the body of water to anchor the vessel; exiting the vessel into the body of water using the one or more steps of the anchor-ladder device.
11 . The method of claim 10 , where operating the deployment device to deploy the anchor-ladder device further includes extending a rod connected to a first member of the anchor-ladder device to the anchoring component to the bottom of the body of water, the first member being connected to the one or more steps.
12 . The method of claim 11 , where the anchoring component is connected to the rod.
13 . An anchor-ladder device for anchoring a vessel in a body of water and to enable a user to ingress into the vessel from the body of water or egress out of the vessel into the body of water, the anchor-ladder device comprising:
a first member connectable to a deployment device and having an anchoring end associated with an anchoring component that is connectable to a bottom of the body of water to anchor the vessel, and one or more steps connected to the first member and able to support the loads imparted by the user when ingressing into or egressing out of the vessel; wherein, the anchor-ladder device may be deployed by the deployment device into the body of water to anchor the vessel.
14 . The anchor-ladder device of claim 13 , where the anchoring component corresponds to a spike, a bit, an anchor, a dome, a textured surface, or a flat surface.
15 . The anchor-ladder device of claim 13 further including a second member generally parallel to the first member and connected to the one or more steps.
16 . The anchor-ladder device of claim 13 further including a third member connected to the first member and including a first end associated with the anchoring end of first member and a second end associated with the anchoring component.
17 . A deployable marine system fur allowing a scuba diver to ingress into a vessel from a body of water or egress out of the vessel and into the body of water, the deployable marine system comprising:
a scuba launch that includes a launch platform on which the scuba diver may sit or stand and that supports the loads imparted by the scuba diver when ingressing into or egressing out of the vessel; a deployment device attached to the vessel and connected to the scuba launch, the deployment device being able to deploy the scuba launch and the scuba diver into the body of water and to retract the scuba launch and user from the body of water.
18 . The deployable marine system of claim 17 , where the launch platform corresponds to a seat.
19 . The deployable marine system of claim 17 , where the scuba launch further includes steps.
