Abstract
The invention provides an electromagnetically shielded enclosure for personal electronic device security, comprising a lower enclosure having a receiving space for at least one electronic devices disposed on a base portion of the lower enclosure. An upper lid is structurally engaging with the whole lower enclosure to form an electromagnetically shielding structure. A wireless charging element is configured on the lower enclosure for wirelessly charging to provide power to at least one electronic device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An electromagnetically shielding enclosure for personal electronic device security, comprising:
a lower enclosure having a receiving space for one or more electronic devices; an upper lid structurally engaging with the lower enclosure to form an electromagnetically shielding structure; a wireless charging element configured to wirelessly provide power to the one or more electronic devices, the wireless charging element comprising:
a charging element housing;
a transmitter coil; and
a shielding component comprising a magnetic permeable material configured to direct an electromagnetic field emitted by the wireless charging coil toward the receiving space.
2 . The enclosure of claim 1 , further comprising a shielding encasing the transmitter coil.
3 . The enclosure of claim 2 , wherein the shielding encasing the transmitter coil provides shielding around an outer surface(s) of the coil and a bottom edge of the coil.
4 . The enclosure of claim 2 , wherein the shielding encasing the transmitter directs the electromagnetic field toward the receiving space.
5 . The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the wireless charging element is disposed on the lower enclosure.
6 . The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the shielding component is arranged and configured to generate a flux in opposition of flux generated by the wireless charging component when a current is provided to the wireless charging component.
7 . The enclosure of claim 6 , wherein the shielding comprises ferrite, copper, or a combination thereof.
8 . The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the wireless charging element further comprises:
a shielded cable; a matching capacitor; and a power transmitter control circuit.
9 . The enclosure of claim 1 , further comprising a touch sensor and a touch sensor control circuit.
10 . The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the lower enclosure consists essentially of a lower non-shielding outer enclosure and an electromagnetically-shielding conductive material disposed on an interior portion of the lower non-shielding outer enclosure.
11 . The enclosure of claim 1 , further comprising one or more vents disposed to provide air flow to the lower enclosure.
12 . The enclosure of claim 11 , wherein the one or more vents provides electromagnetic shielding.
13 . The enclosure of claim 1 , further comprising:
an additional lower enclosure having an additional receiving space for one or more additional electronic devices, wherein the upper lid structurally engages with the additional lower enclosure to form an additional electromagnetically shielding structure and wherein the wireless charging element is further configured to wirelessly provide power to the one or more additional electronic devices; and an additional shielding component configured to direct the electromagnetic field toward the additional receiving space.
14 . The enclosure of claim 13 , further comprising one or more vents disposed to provide air flow to the lower enclosure and to the additional lower enclosure.
15 . The enclosure of claim 14 , wherein the one or more vents provides electromagnetic shielding.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
