Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 27 (canceled)
28 . A visor comprising:
an optical surface that has a convex shape and is symmetric about an axis that extends through a center line of said surface; and an engagement structure integrally attached to said optical surface.
29 . The visor of claim 28 , wherein said optical surface is made of a polycarbonate.
30 . The visor of claim 28 , wherein said visor has a height, H, of approximately 3.98 inches and a length, L, of approximately 6.45 inches.
31 . The visor of claim 28 , wherein side ends of said optical surface extends away from a rear of said engagement structure by a distance, D, of approximately 3.34 inches.
32 . The visor of claim 28 , wherein said engagement structure has a length of approximately 1.25 inches and extends past a main, optical portion of the said visor by approximately 0.72 inches.
33 . The visor of claim 28 , wherein said engagement structure defines a slot that defines a pair of grooves.
34 . The visor of claim 28 , further comprising a magnet attached to said engagement surface.
35 . The visor of claim 28 , wherein an indentation is formed at a bottom portion of said optical surface and along said center line.
36 . The visor of claim 28 , wherein said optical surface is transparent.
37 . The visor of claim 28 , wherein said optical surface is tinted.
38 . The visor of claim 28 , wherein said engagement structure comprises a clip integrally attached to a top portion of said optical surface, wherein said clip defines a gap.
39 . The visor of claim 38 , wherein a short portion of said clip is attached to said top side of said optical surface and a long portion of said clip is biased toward said optical surface, wherein said long portion and said short portion define said gap.
40 . The visor of claim 38 , wherein said engagement structure comprises:
two fingers attached to a first free end of a first arm of said optical surface, wherein said two fingers define a gap therebetween.
41 . The visor of claim 40 , wherein said engagement structure further comprises a third finger positioned within said gap, wherein said third finger comprises a ridge.
42 . The visor of claim 40 , wherein said first protrusion has an inverted U-like shape.
43 . A visor comprising:
a frame comprising:
a top side;
a bottom side arranged below said top side;
a first side piece that is integrally attached to a first end of said top side and a first end of said bottom side;
a second side piece that is integrally attached to a second end of said top side and a second end of said bottom side;
a centrally located vertical piece that is integrally attached to said top side and said bottom side, wherein said vertical piece is positioned between said first side piece and said second side piece;
a first eyepiece attached to said frame so as to be aligned with a first opening defined by said frame; a second eyepiece attached to said frame so as to be aligned with a second opening defined by said frame; and a J-shaped clip attached to said top side of said frame.
44 . The visor of claim 43 , wherein each of said first and second eyepieces is clear.
45 . The visor of claim 43 , wherein each of said first and second eyepieces is tinted.
46 . The visor of claim 43 , wherein a short portion of said clip is attached to said top side of said frame and a long portion of said clip is biased toward said frame, wherein said long portion and said short portion define a gap.
47 . A helmet comprising:
a hard shell defining an exterior surface and an interior volume of space and comprising a bill positioned at a front of said hard shell; a support structure attached to an underside of said bill, wherein said support structure comprises a magnet and defines a male element.
48 . The helmet of claim 47 , wherein said male element comprises a pair of equally shaped surfaces that are spaced from one another so as to define a polygonal-like cross-sectional area.
49 . The helmet of claim 48 , wherein said pair of equally shaped surfaces define a trapezoidal-like cross-sectional area.
50 . The helmet of claim 47 , wherein said support structure is attached to said bill by at least one screw.
51 . The helmet of claim 47 , wherein said support structure is attached to said bill by an adhesive.
52 . The helmet of claim 47 , wherein said support structure is molded to said underside of said bill.
53 . The helmet of claim 47 , wherein said support structure is integrally attached to said bill.
54 . The helmet of claim 47 , wherein said hard shell comprises an ear flap.
55 . The helmet of claim 47 , wherein said hard shell is made of a carbon fiber material.
56 . A helmet comprising:
a hard shell defining an exterior surface and an interior volume of space and comprising a bill positioned at a front of said hard shell; a first opening formed into a first side of said hard shell; a second opening formed into a second side of said hard shell, wherein said second side is opposite said first second side, and wherein said first opening and said second opening are both formed below said bill.
57 . The helmet of claim 56 , wherein said hard shell comprises an ear flap with an ear opening and said first opening is located above said ear opening.
58 . The helmet of claim 56 , wherein said first opening has an inverted U-like shape.
59 . The helmet of claim 56 , wherein said helmet further comprises a pivotable cover that is pivotable over said first opening.
60 . The helmet of claim 59 , wherein said helmet comprises a third opening located below said first opening and said cover comprises a male element that engages said third opening.
61 . A helmet comprising:
a hard shell defining an exterior surface and an interior volume of space and comprising a bill positioned at a front of said hard shell; a mount attached to a first side of said hard shell, wherein said mount is mounted below said bill and said mount comprises:
