System and method for color calibrating an image
Abstract
Systems and methods for color calibrating an image are described herein. In some embodiments, a method includes disposing a unique identifier and a fiducial marker that includes a plurality of color regions on an object. A first image of the object is captured with a first camera and a second image of the object that is captured with a second camera is received. The second image is associated with the first image based on the unique identifier and spectral information of at least a portion of the fiducial marker in the second image is compared with spectral information of at least the portion of the fiducial marker in the first image. Based on the comparison, the second image is resampled to substantially match at least the portion of the fiducial marker in the second image to at least the portion of the fiducial marker in the first image.

38 . A method, comprising:
receiving a first image of an object, the first image captured with a first camera; associating the first image with a second image of the object based on a unique identifier on the object, the second image captured with a second camera; comparing spectral information of at least a portion of a fiducial marker in the first image with spectral information of at least the portion of the fiducial marker in the second image; and resampling the first image to approximately match at least the portion of the fiducial marker in the first image to at least the portion of the fiducial marker in the second image based on the comparison.
39 . The method of claim 38 , wherein the fiducial marker is an adhesive label including a plurality of color regions.
40 . The method of claim 38 , wherein the second image is captured under controlled conditions.
41 . The method of claim 38 , further comprising:
correcting the first image of any physical distortion; and quantifying and correlating the first image with respect to the second image.
42 . The method of claim 38 , further comprising:
correcting the first image by applying linear transformation of position vectors on the first image.
43 . A method for analyzing an image-based test, the method comprising:
receiving a first image of a diagnostic assay; comparing spectral information of at least a portion of a spectral fiducial in the first image with spectral information of at least the portion of the spectral fiducial in a second image of the diagnostic assay, the spectral fiducial including a plurality of color regions; resampling the first image based on the comparison; correlating spectral information of at least a portion of the resampled image with corresponding information relating to the image-based test; and analyzing the image-based test based on the correlation.
44 . The method of claim 43 , wherein analyzing the image-based test includes collecting quantifiable data from the first image, the quantifiable data relating to the image-based test.
45 . The method of claim 43 , wherein correlating spectral information includes applying a curve fitting formula on spectral information of the at least a portion of the resampled image.
46 . The method of claim 43 , wherein the diagnostic assay is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay.
47 . The method of claim 46 , wherein the lateral flow immunochromatographic assay includes a control area and a test area.
48 . The method of claim 47 , wherein the at least a portion of the resampled image is the test area in the resampled image.
49 . The method of claim 43 , wherein comparing the spectral information of at least the portion of a spectral fiducial in the first image with the spectral information of at least the portion of the spectral fiducial in the second image includes associating the first image with the second image based on a unique identifier.
50 . The method of claim 43 , wherein spectral information includes at least one of intensity, wavelength, spectral value, Doppler shift, and Zeeman splitting.
51 . A system comprising:
a server processor; and a manufacturing unit in digital communication with the server processor and configured to:
dispose a unique identifier on an object;
dispose a spectral fiducial on the object, the spectral fiducial including a plurality of color regions;
capture a first image of the object with an image capturing device; and
transmit the first image to the server processor;
the server processor configured to:
receive a second image of the object from a remote image capturing device;
associate the second image with the first image based on the unique identifier;
compare spectral information of at least a portion of the spectral fiducial in the second image with spectral information of at least the portion of the spectral fiducial in the first image; and
resample the second image to match at least the portion of the spectral fiducial in the second image to at least the portion of the spectral fiducial in the first image based on the comparison
52 . The system of claim 51 , wherein the server processor is a cloud based server processor.
53 . The system of claim 51 , further comprising:
a second image capturing device configured to capture the second image of the object and transmit the second image to the server processor.
54 . The system of claim 51 , wherein the spectral fiducial includes a plurality of color regions on the object.
55 . The system of claim 51 , wherein the object is a diagnostic assay.
56 . The system of claim 51 , wherein the server processor is further configured to reference the first image with the unique identifier.
57 . The system of claim 51 , wherein the server processor is further configured to:
correct the second image for any physical distortion; and quantify and correlate the second image with respect to the first image.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
