Shin guard

Abstract

A shin guard protection assembly may include a shin guard plate for protecting a shin area of a wearer, an upper leg pad attached to the shin guard plate. The upper leg pad may be configured for being interposable between the shin guard plate and a shin of the wearer. The assembly may include a lower leg pad removably attachable to the upper leg pad, the lower leg pad configured to be repositionable along a lower leg of the wearer. The assembly may include an adjustable securing mechanism configured to secure the shin guard plate and upper leg pad about a leg of the wearer.

25 . A shin guard protection assembly, comprising:
 a shin guard plate for protecting a shin area of a wearer;   an upper leg pad attached to the shin guard plate, the upper leg pad configured for being interposable between the shin guard plate and a shin of the wearer;   a lower leg pad removably attachable to the upper leg pad, the lower leg pad configured to be repositionable along a lower leg of the wearer; and   an adjustable securing mechanism configured to secure the shin guard plate and upper leg pad about a leg of the wearer.   
     
     
         26 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 25 , wherein the adjustable securing mechanism also secures the lower leg pad about a leg of the wearer. 
     
     
         27 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 25 , further comprising an attaching mechanism that attaches the upper leg pad to the shin guard plate in a permanent manner. 
     
     
         28 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 25 , wherein the lower leg pad is repositionable to extend from behind the shin guard plate downwardly and past a lower end of the shin guard plate for promoting a one-size fits all leg protection. 
     
     
         29 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 25 , wherein the lower leg pad includes a mechanism to permit detaching and reconnecting of the lower leg pad to the upper leg pad. 
     
     
         30 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 29 , wherein the mechanism includes a hook and loop technique. 
     
     
         31 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 29 , further comprising a connecting mechanism attached to the lower pad for securing the lower leg pad about a leg of a wearer. 
     
     
         32 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 25 , further comprising a connecting mechanism attached to the lower pad for securing the lower leg pad about a leg of a wearer. 
     
     
         33 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 25 , wherein the shin guard plate comprises a hard plastic, metal or composite material. 
     
     
         34 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 25 , wherein the shin guard plate is configured with a wider width at an upper end and tapering to a narrower width at a bottom end. 
     
     
         35 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 25 , further comprising a plurity of recesses configured into a front face of the shin guard plate arranged in pairs adjacent to one another in a vertical column and a horizontal row. 
     
     
         36 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 25 , wherein the shin guard plate include a cut-out proximate a top end of the shin guard plate for flexibly attaching the shin guard assembly to a knee protector. 
     
     
         37 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 36 , further comprising the knee protector adjustably connectable to the shin guard plate for permitting adjustment of vertical positioning of the shin guard plate along a shin region thereby providing a one-size-fits-most leg protection. 
     
     
         38 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 36 , wherein the knee protector includes a flexible hammock to receive a liner thereunder, and straps for securing the knee protector to a wearer. 
     
     
         39 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 36 , wherein the knee protector is configured to suspend from a thigh protector and the shin guard protection assembly is configured to suspend from the knee protector. 
     
     
         40 . The shin guard protection assembly of claim further comprising a foot protector comprising a hard shell and a foot pad, the foot protector comprising an adjustable connecting mechanism to connect the foot protector to the lower leg pad and suspending the foot protector from the shin guard protection assembly thereby providing a one-size-tits most leg protection. 
     
     
         41 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 40 , wherein the adjustable connecting mechanism comprises a releasable connecting mechanism. 
     
     
         42 . The shin guard protection assembly of  claim 40 , further comprising at least one adjustable shoe connecting mechanism for securing the foot protector to a shoe of a wearer. 
     
     
         43 . A method for providing shin guard protection, comprising:
 providing a shin guard plate for protecting a shin area of a wearer;   providing an upper leg pad attached to the shin guard plate, the upper leg pad configured for being interposable between the shin guard plate and a shin of the wearer;   providing a lower leg pad that is removably attachable to the upper leg pad, the lower leg pad configured to be repositionable along a lower leg of the wearer; and   providing an adjustable securing mechanism configured for securing the shin guard plate   and upper leg pad about a leg of the wearer.   
     
     
         44 . The method of  claim 43 , further including providing a mechanism to permit detaching and reconnecting of the lower leg pad to the upper leg pad. 
     
     
         45 . The method of  claim 43 , further comprising:
 providing a means for suspending the shin guard plate and upper leg pad from a thigh protector; and   providing a means for suspending a foot protector from the lower leg pad.
