Abstract

Tape Dispensing Apparatus, Systems and Methods are disclosed. A dispenser forearm sleeve portion includes a rotating tape dispensing receptacle surrounded by an inserted tape roll, coupled to a forearm sleeve portion first edge, attached to a base plate having a protruding plate center post with an internal threaded insert coupled to a fastener to form a spinning tape dispensing apparatus coupled to the inserted tape roll and oriented outward from an installation arm protruding through the forearm sleeve portion. Methods are also disclosed for dispensing a tape roll from a tape dispensing apparatus, including steps for inserting a forearm sleeve portion having a rotating tape dispensing receptacle coupled to a base plate with a protruding plate center post and centered threaded insert, and member for installing tape rolls from a rotating tape dispensing receptacle to a workface surface, and replacing emptied tape rolls with a replenished tape roll.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A tape dispensing apparatus comprising:
 a forearm sleeve portion;   a base plate having a plate center post coupled thereto, the base plate being coupled to the forearm sleeve portion; and   a rotating tape dispensing receptacle being rotatably coupled to the plate center post of the base plate, the rotating tape dispensing receptacle being configured to rotate around the plate center post, the rotating tape dispensing receptacle further including ribbed friction elements to engage a roll of tape material at an inner circumference of the roll of tape material causing the roll of tape material to rotate around the plate center post with the rotating tape dispensing receptacle.   
     
     
         2 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the rotating tape dispensing receptacle being rotatably coupled to the plate center post with a tension spring and a tension knob. 
     
     
         3 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the plate center post of the base plate including a threaded insert located at the center of the plate center post. 
     
     
         4 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1  wherein the base plate and plate center post are fabricated as a one piece molded base plate assembly. 
     
     
         5 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1  wherein the rotating tape dispensing receptacle is a cylindrically shaped, molded component with the ribbed friction elements affixed to an exterior vertical edge and spaced uniformly around the rotating tape dispensing receptacle, and wherein the rotating tape dispensing receptacle is coupled via the base plate to the forearm sleeve portion. 
     
     
         6 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1  wherein the plate center post is an elevated plate center post that protrudes from an outer surface of the base plate. 
     
     
         7 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1  wherein the forearm sleeve portion is configured so that a user of the tape dispensing apparatus may wear the tape dispensing apparatus by inserting a hand and wrist to protrude through the forearm sleeve portion and orient the tape dispensing apparatus inwards towards a user's body and wherein a roll of tape is inserted on the ribbed friction elements of the rotating tape dispensing receptacle so that the roll of tape may be rapidly dispensed onto a taping surface. 
     
     
         8 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1  wherein the forearm sleeve portion is fabricated from an elastic fabric material. 
     
     
         9 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1  wherein the rotating tape dispensing receptacle is rotatably coupled to the plate center post with a tension spring and a tension knob, wherein the tension associated with the tension spring varies based on a tape roll feature selected from the group consisting of: tape size and tape weight. 
     
     
         10 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1  further comprising: one or more sensors embedded within the rotating tape dispensing receptacle, the one or more sensors being configured to send information related to tape use and measurements wirelessly to one or more software applications to track one or more tape dispensing measurements. 
     
     
         11 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1  wherein an installation arm inserted in the forearm sleeve portion is a human installer. 
     
     
         12 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1  wherein the rotating tape dispensing receptacle is substantially cylindrically shaped, the rotating tape dispensing receptacle including a spring loaded mechanism to vary the rotational speed of the rotating tape dispensing receptacle based on characteristics of an inserted tape roll. 
     
     
         13 . The tape dispensing apparatus of  claim 1  wherein the base plate is concealed in an inner pocket of the forearm sleeve portion. 
     
     
         14 . A method of tape dispensing comprising:
 attaching a rotating tape dispensing receptacle to a base plate having sensors, the base plate being attached to a forearm sleeve portion to form a tape dispensing wrist band garment;   fitting the tape dispensing wrist band garment about a taping application arm;   dispensing one or more rolls of tape onto a surface via the tape dispensing wrist band garment; and   receiving tape usage and measurement data from the sensors of the rotating tape dispensing receptacle.   
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14  further comprising: concealing the base plate in an inner pocket of the forearm sleeve portion. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 14  wherein the forearm sleeve portion is configured so that a user of the tape dispensing wrist band garment may wear the tape dispensing wrist band garment by inserting a hand and wrist to protrude through the forearm sleeve portion and orient the tape dispensing wrist band garment inwards towards the user's body and wherein a roll of tape is inserted on ribbed friction elements of the rotating tape dispensing receptacle so that the roll of tape may be rapidly dispensed onto a taping surface. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 14  wherein the forearm sleeve portion is fabricated from an elastic fabric material. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 14  further comprising: providing a computer system wirelessly coupled to the sensors embedded in the rotating tape dispensing receptacle to implement one or more methods of tape dispensing utilizing one or more sets of instructions stored in one or more non-transitory machine-readable media to gather and track data from usage of one or more tape rolls. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 14  further comprising: adjusting the speed of the tape dispensing wrist band garment according to the weight of an inserted tape roll. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 14  further comprising: adjusting the speed of the tape dispensing wrist band garment according to the height of an inserted tape roll.
