Abstract
A method, apparatus, and system for protection from hazards of conductivity is disclosed using non-electrical means to disrupt electrical current with a thermovolumetric substance. The purpose of this invention is to prevent hazardous conditions from occurring by disrupting the flow of electrical current prior to the development of arc fault conditions.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An apparatus for autonomous disruption of a connectivity using a thermovolumetric mechanism to prevent a hazardous event comprising:
an amount of thermovolumetric substance disposed in the thermovolumetric mechanism for generating a hydraulic pressure above a certain temperature sufficient to disrupt the connectivity; an end cap; a reservoir adapted to operably join to the end cap comprising:
a channel for accepting one or more conductors;
one or more hollow cavities configured to contain the thermovolumetric substance; and wherein heating of the thermovolumetric substance above the certain temperature causes sufficient hydraulic pressure to cause the end cap to separate from the reservoir causing permanent disruption of the connectivity.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein heating of the thermovolumetric substance causes a sufficient hydraulic pressure to cause permanent disruption of the connectivity.
3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein heating of the thermovolumetric substance is caused at least in part by an adjacent conductor.
4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the hazardous event is injury or death.
5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the hazardous event is an electrical arc.
6 - 7 . (canceled)
8 . The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a thermokinetic substance to augment the force of hydraulic pressure.
9 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A method for autonomously disrupting a connectivity, using thermohydraulic principles, for preventing a hazardous event comprising:
providing a connectivity body adapted for connection and disruption; enclosing in a cavity within the connectivity body a thermohydraulic substance for generating a force; and wherein heating of the thermohydraulic substance produces a force which permanently disrupts the connectivity body.
22 - 24 . (canceled)
25 . A system for mitigating a hazardous event in a connectivity comprising:
a connectivity means for operably connecting one or more conduits, a thermovolumetric substance for generating a hydraulic force that permanently disrupts the connectivity means to mitigate the hazardous event, and a means for preventing reconnection of the connectivity.
26 . The system of claim 25 , wherein heating of the thermovolumetric substance forces separation of a conductive guide causing a disruption of the connectivity.
27 . The system of claim 25 further comprising a thermokinetic substance to augment the force.
28 . An apparatus for preventing a hazardous condition in a connectivity consisting of a plethora of constituents comprising:
a connectivity to join one or more conduits, a thermovolumetric substance for generating a hydraulic force, a cavity within the connectivity for enclosing the thermovolumetric substance which has the ability to permanently disrupt the connectivity, and a means for generating a signal indicative of need to disrupt connectivity.
29 . The apparatus of claim 28 , further comprising a means for causing a permanent disruption of the connectivity upon receiving the signal.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
