Apparatus and system for dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system and methods thereof

Abstract

An acoustic drop ceiling product, a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system and related methods that include multiple differently shaped drop ceiling products that can be quickly and easily installed into a backer panel and ten onto construction drop ceiling hangers, to provide an aesthetically pleasing image, such as an undulating image, along with a reduction in unwanted noise or room acoustics.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system, comprising:
 a plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products, each of said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling product comprising one or more installation slots;   at least one backer panel, said backer panel configured to accept one or more installation slots from said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products;   said at least one backer panel configured for installation into a drop ceiling hanger without the need for any tools, clips or attachment devices.   
     
     
         2 . The dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products are the same design. 
     
     
         3 . The dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products are of different design. 
     
     
         4 . The dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products comprise PET Felt material. 
     
     
         5 . The dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products is 16 acoustic drop ceiling products, each of said 16 acoustic drop ceiling products installed in said at least one backer panel approximately equidistant from each other. 
     
     
         6 . The dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system of  claim 1 , wherein each of said at least one backer panels comprises at least one indent, each of said at least one indent configured to accept one of said one or more installation slots. 
     
     
         7 . The dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system of  claim 6 , wherein said one or more installation slots are tapered for installation into said backer panel. 
     
     
         8 . The dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system of  claim 1 , wherein said at least one backer panel is configured to be installed into a drop ceiling hanger using said one or more installation slots from said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products. 
     
     
         9 . The dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system of  claim 8 , wherein when said at least one backer panel is installed into a drop ceiling hanger using said one or more installation slots from said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products, said drop ceiling hanger is partially obscured from below. 
     
     
         10 . The dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system of  claim 8 , wherein when said at least one backer panel is installed into a drop ceiling hanger using said one or more installation slots from said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products, said drop ceiling hanger is totally obscured from below. 
     
     
         11 . A method of installing a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system onto a drop ceiling hanger system without the need for any tools, clips or attachment devices, said dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system having a plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products, each of said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products having one or more installation slots, and said dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system having at least one backer panel, each of said at least one backer panel having one or more indents, said one or more indents configured to accept one of said one or more installation slots, the steps comprising:
 a) inserting said one or more installation slots from said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products into said one or more indents from said at least one backer panel;   b) repeating step a) until all of said one or more indents from said at least one backer panel contains at least one of the one or more installation slots from said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products;   c) installing said at least one backer panel onto a drop ceiling hanger from said drop ceiling hanger system;   d) repeating steps a) through c) until all of said at least one backer panels have been installed onto said drop ceiling hanger from said drop ceiling hanger system.   
     
     
         12 . The method of installing a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system onto a drop ceiling hanger system of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products are the same design. 
     
     
         13 . The method of installing a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system onto a drop ceiling hanger system of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products are of different design. 
     
     
         14 . The method of installing a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system onto a drop ceiling hanger system of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products comprise PET Felt material. 
     
     
         15 . The method of installing a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system onto a drop ceiling hanger system of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products is 16 acoustic drop ceiling products, each of said 16 acoustic drop ceiling products installed in said at least one backer panel approximately equidistant from each other. 
     
     
         16 . The method of installing a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system onto a drop ceiling hanger system of  claim 15 , wherein said one or more installation slots are tapered for installation into said backer panel. 
     
     
         17 . The method of installing a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system onto a drop ceiling hanger system of  claim 1 , wherein said at least one backer panel is configured to be installed into a drop ceiling hanger using said one or more installation slots from said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products. 
     
     
         18 . The method of installing a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system onto a drop ceiling hanger system of  claim 17 , wherein when said at least one backer panel is installed into a drop ceiling hanger using said one or more installation slots from said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products, said drop ceiling hanger is partially obscured from below. 
     
     
         19 . The method of installing a dynamic acoustic drop ceiling system onto a drop ceiling hanger system of  claim 17 , wherein when said at least one backer panel is installed into a drop ceiling hanger using said one or more installation slots from said plurality of acoustic drop ceiling products, said drop ceiling hanger is totally obscured from below.
