Abstract
Embodiments described herein include a peel-off biodegradable bottle cap collar comprised of an elongated collar having a first and second end including an adhesive portion to enable the user to peel off an adhesive cover and depress onto the smooth top surface of a bottle cap at the first end, and the body of the containing element at the second end to prevent the bottle cap from being exposed to a contaminated surface or becoming a choking hazard for small children.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A peel-off bottle cap collar apparatus, comprising:
an elongated collar having an adhesive portion at a first end and a second end configured to be releasably attached to a smooth surface of a container cap and a neck region of container and provide mechanical communication between a bottle cap and bottle body.
2 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the apparatus further includes at least a disposable adhesive covering at both the first end and second end to prevent a contamination to an adhesive portion prior to use.
3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first end includes a disc-shaped pivot having a pivot axis on a top side to provide rotational movement of the bottle cap while the apparatus is releasably attached.
4 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the disc-shaped pivot further includes a pivot crown to secure the elongated collar about the pivot axis.
5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the second end is configured to be releasably attached onto a coarse surface of a bottle.
6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the apparatus is comprised of a biodegradable material.
7 . A peel-off bottle cap collar apparatus, comprising:
an elongated collar having a first end and second end further including an adhesive portion; the first end further including a cylindrically shaped pivot to enable 360 -degree rotation of the elongated collar about the pivot while releasably attached to a containing element cap, and a second end configured to be releasably attached to a body of the containing element to prevent the containing element cap from falling onto a ground surface while a user is drinking from the containing element.
8 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the apparatus is comprised of photo-degradable material to provide for rapid disposal after use.
9 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the first end is disc-shaped to provide an optimal alignment and attachment onto a plurality of varying size bottles.
10 . The apparatus of claim 6 , further including a peel-off adhesive cover releasably affixed to the first end and the second end to provide a hermetic seal to the adhesive portion before use.
11 . The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the adhesive portion is comprised of a biodegradable polymer.
12 . A biodegradable peel-off bottle cap collar for securing a bottle cap to a body of the containing element, apparatus comprising:
An elongated and flexible collar having a cylindrically shaped first end including a pivot mechanism, and an elliptically shaped second end; the first end and second end further including an adhesive portion on an inside portion to releasably attach a bottle cap to a bottle body.
13 . The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the elongated collar is comprised of a biodegradable material.
14 . The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the pivot mechanism is configured to be releasably secured to a center of the bottle cap.
15 . The apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the pivot mechanism further includes a pivot stem to provide an unobstructed 360 -degree rotation of the elongated collar about the pivot stem.
16 . The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the first end is disc-shaped and dimensioned to fit a plurality of bottle cap sizes.
17 . The apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the first end further includes a biodegradable adhesive portion on a bottom side to provide a hermetic seal with the center of the bottle cap.
18 . The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the second end is further configured to be releasably attached to plurality of bottle body surfaces.
19 . The apparatus of claim 18 , wherein the second end further includes a biodegradable adhesive portion on a bottom side.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
