Display device, user terminal apparatus and control method thereof

Abstract

A control method of a display device includes receiving identification (ID) information of an electronic devices connected to the display device; determining whether a remote controller includes a control setting for the electronic device based on the received ID information, wherein the remote controller controls a plurality of electronic devices associated with the display device; obtaining a control key of the remote controller corresponding to the ID information when it is determined that the remote controller does not include the control setting for the electronic device; and transmitting the obtained control key to the remote controller.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A remote control device comprising:
 an input part configured to receive an identification information of an electronic device;   a communicator; and   a controller configured
 to identify a control setting for remotely controlling the electronic device using the received identification information, 
 if the control setting for remotely controlling the electronic device is not identified, to obtain a control key corresponding to the electronic device from at least one of the electronic device, a display device or an external server through the communicator based on the identification information, and 
 to remotely control the electronic device by using the obtained control key. 
   
     
     
         2 . The remote control device according to  claim 1 , further comprising a storage configured to store an application for remote control of the electronic device,
 wherein the controller remotely controls the electronic device by executing the application based on the obtained control key.   
     
     
         3 . The remote control device according to  claim 2 , wherein the controller is configured to identify the control setting of the electronic device if the application for remote control of the electronic device is executed. 
     
     
         4 . The remote control device according to  claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured
 to transmit a request with regard to a plurality of electronic devices remotely controllable by the remote control device to the display device through the communicator,   to select an electronic device among the plurality of electronic devices,   to receive the identification information of the selected electronic device from the display device through the communicator, and   to transmit the received identification information of the selected electronic device to request for the control key corresponding to the selected electronic device, to the at least one of the electronic device, a display device or an external server through the communicator.   
     
     
         5 . The remote control device according to  claim 1 , wherein the input part comprises a camera to capture an image and a microphone to receive audio, and
 the controller is configured to analyze the captured image and the received audio and identify the identification information of the electronic device.   
     
     
         6 . The remote control device according to  claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured set a connection port with respect to the electronic device and the display device, respectively. 
     
     
         7 . The remote control device according to  claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to connect to the external server and log in to a user account of the external server, and transmit remote control setting information corresponding to the electronic device to the external server to upload the remote control setting information to the user account. 
     
     
         8 . The remote control device according to  claim 6 , wherein the remote control setting information comprises the control key corresponding to the electronic device. 
     
     
         9 . A non-transitory computer readable recording medium having stored thereon a program which, when executed, causes a remote control device to perform a method comprising:
 receiving an identification information of an electronic device;   identifying a control setting for remotely controlling the electronic device using the received identification information;   if the control setting for remotely controlling the electronic device is not identified, obtaining a control key corresponding to the electronic device from at least one of the electronic device, a display device or an external server based on the identification information; and   remotely controlling the electronic device by using the obtained control key.   
     
     
         10 . The non-transitory computer readable recording medium according to  claim 9 , wherein the method further comprising
 executing an application, which is stored in the remote control device, for remote control of the electronic device based on the obtained control key, and   remotely controlling the electronic device by using the executed application.   
     
     
         11 . The non-transitory computer readable recording medium according to  claim 10 , wherein the method further comprising identifying the control setting of the electronic device if the application for remote control of the electronic device is executed. 
     
     
         12 . The non-transitory computer readable recording medium according to  claim 9 , wherein the method further comprising
 transmitting a request with regard to a plurality of electronic devices remotely controllable by the remote control device to the display device,   selecting an electronic device among the plurality of electronic devices,   receiving the identification information of the selected electronic device from the display device, and   transmitting the received identification information of the selected electronic device to request for the control key corresponding to the selected electronic device, to the at least one of the electronic device, a display device or an external server.   
     
     
         13 . The non-transitory computer readable recording medium according to  claim 9 , wherein the receiving the identification information comprises receiving an image captured by a camera or an audio obtained by an microphone, and
 the method further comprising analyzing the captured image or the obtained audio and identifying the identification information of the electronic device.   
     
     
         14 . The non-transitory computer readable recording medium according to  claim 9 , wherein the method further comprising setting a connection port with respect to the electronic device and the display device, respectively. 
     
     
         15 . The non-transitory computer readable recording medium according to  claim 9 , wherein the method further comprising connecting to the external server and logging in to a user account of the external server, and transmitting remote control setting information corresponding to the electronic device to the external server to upload the remote control setting information to the user account. 
     
     
         16 . The non-transitory computer readable recording medium according to  claim 15 , wherein the remote control setting information comprises the control key corresponding to the electronic device.
