Provided is an MCM heat exchanger 10 including linear bodies formed of a magnetocaloric material having a magnetocaloric effect and a case 13 filled with the linear bodies, in which each of the linear bodies is a stranded wire 12 obtained by twisting at least two wires 121.

 linear bodies formed of a magnetocaloric material having a magnetocaloric effect; and   a case filled with the linear bodies, wherein   each of the linear bodies is a stranded wire obtained by twisting at least two wires.   
     
     
         2 . The heat exchanger according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the stranded wire is obtained by twisting two to four wires.   
     
     
         3 . A magnetic heat pump device comprising:
 the heat exchanger according to  claim 1 .
