Abstract
A fingerprint recognition-based control method may include acquiring, by a fingerprint sensor, sensor data in response to a contact between a physical object and a sensing area of the fingerprint sensor; receiving an input through a first input receiver from among one or more input receivers, the first input receiver being located in a vicinity of the fingerprint sensor; verifying the sensor data to be an input fingerprint; and sensing a motion of the physical object based on the acquired sensor data and the received input, in response to a positive result of the verifying.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A fingerprint recognition-based control method comprising:
acquiring, by a fingerprint sensor, sensor data in response to a contact between a physical object and a sensing area of the fingerprint sensor; receiving an input by the physical object through an input receiver in which the fingerprint sensor is embedded; verifying whether a fingerprint included in the sensor data matches a registered fingerprint; performing a first operation corresponding to a first command identified from the input and the registered fingerprint in response to the fingerprint matching the registered fingerprint; and performing a second operation corresponding to a second command differing from the first command in response to the fingerprint not matching the registered fingerprint.
2 . The fingerprint recognition-based control method of claim 1 , further comprising:
activating a device in response to the input matching a predefined input, wherein, in response to the activating, a display of the device is switched from an OFF state to an ON state.
3 . The fingerprint recognition-based control method of claim 1 , wherein the performing of the first operation comprises:
releasing a lock state of a device in response to the fingerprint matching the registered fingerprint.
4 . The fingerprint recognition-based control method of claim 1 , wherein the performing of the second operation comprises:
activating a device in response to the input matching a predefined input; and providing at least one of a guide and a request for user authentication in response to the fingerprint not matching the registered fingerprint.
5 . The fingerprint recognition-based control method of claim 1 , wherein the second operation assigned to the second command is an operation of which at least a portion is restricted in comparison to the first operation assigned to the first command.
6 . The fingerprint recognition-based control method of claim 5 , wherein the first operation corresponding to the first command allows access to all items of information in the device and the second operation corresponding to the second command blocks access to at least a portion of the items of information.
7 . The fingerprint recognition-based control method of claim 5 , wherein the first operation assigned to the first command allows a higher level of execution authority in comparison to a level of execution authority of the second operation assigned to the second command.
8 . The fingerprint recognition-based control method of claim 1 , wherein the performing of the first operation comprises:
determining whether the input matches a registered input; determining whether a command corresponding to a combination of the registered fingerprint and the registered input is present in response to the input matching the registered input; and performing an operation assigned to the command.
9 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising program code that, when executed by a processor, causes the processor to perform functions according to the method of claim 1 .
10 . A fingerprint recognition-based control apparatus comprising:
a processor configured to: acquire sensor data using a fingerprint sensor in response to a contact between a physical object and a sensing area of the fingerprint sensor; receive an input by the physical object through an input receiver in which the fingerprint sensor is embedded; verify whether a fingerprint included in the sensor data matches a registered fingerprint; perform a first operation corresponding to a first command identified from the input and the registered fingerprint in response to the fingerprint matching the registered fingerprint; and perform a second operation corresponding to a second command differing from the first command in response to the fingerprint not matching the registered fingerprint.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
